Summary: Another great read
Review: I loved Ms. Ortolon's Drive Me Wild and Dear Cupid is even better! It is another fun read with great characters. Mike is yummy, Kate is determined. I stayed up late to finish it because I just could not put it down.

Summary: Great fun!

Summary: Another great read from Julie Ortolon!
Review: Julie Ortolon does it again with another heart-felt and funny book. Fans of Ms. Ortolon's Drive Me Wild will certainly enjoy her second book as well. What do I love best about this book? It's humorous and fun, but doesn't pull any emotional punches. Kate Bradshaw and Michael Cameron feel like real people with genuine problems. Their developing relationship will tug at your heart and tickle your funny bone. Being from Austin myself, naturally, I loved the setting! She portrays Central Texas as it really is: fun, beautiful, and with more computer programers than cowboys.
If you like romantic comedy, you'll love Kate and Michael's story!

Summary: Laugh out loud, cute, sweet, sexy contemporary romance!
Review: Julie Ortolon does it again! Just like her first book, Drive Me Wild, her new book has an orginal plot and has a flirty, sexy, sweet, humorous tone all rolled into one! Again the author appeals to me by writing sexy scenes without being "graphic." It was also nice to read about familiar places in my home state of Texas. Her heroine Kate is an e-zine columnist who has become down on men since her divorce. Kate's boss Gwen hints that if Kate doesn't quit writing columns and advice e-mails that are so negative on love, that Kate will be out of job. Kate decides to be a little crazy and flirt with movie animator Michael Cameron in an airport. He winds up pursuing her under the phony notion that he wants Kate to help him find a wife (through her friend's business called Wife For Hire), when of course he wants Kate to become his wife. The author does a superb job of showing sexual tension between the two that keeps you turning the pages. Julie Ortolon also makes the reader really FEEL what the characters feel, such as when the author reveals Kate's feelings on divorce and about Kate's son Dylan, who has asthma. Great contemporary romance - I'm going to tell all my friends to read this book!

Summary: Dear Cupid
Review: Kate Bradshaw has turned sour on love...and that's not a good thing for a woman who writes a "Dear Cupid" advice column. Since her divorce, Kate's column has become more cynical than romantic. She can't seem to find her way back to that confident, loveable, flirty woman she once was. Kate has built a wall around herself and her son, a wall that she has no intention of letting down.

Michael Cameron knows what he's been missing in his life, Kate. He fell for her the moment he saw her during a brief, flirty exchange in an airport lobby. Convincing Kate will take some work though. Michael hires her to find him a wife, not letting Kate know that he really has his sights set on only her.

Thinking back after reading DEAR CUPID, what I remember most
were the emotional characters. Kate is so afraid of being hurt, of taking another chance, that it blinds her to what is right in front of her: simply, a man who loves her. It was frustrating o watch Kate time and again deny herself the love that we want her to grasp and hold on to--never letting go. Lacking the courage and self-esteem to believe in Michael or herself, Kate must gain back her self-confidence before she can step forward and grab hold of the brass ring.

Taking you from laughter to tears, while maybe opening you up to do some re-evaluating of your own, DEAR CUPID is a perfect summer read.

Summary: A laugh-a-minute, sexy romance.
Review: Kate Bradshaw knew all about romance. As the on-line romance advice columnist of "Dear Cupid," she had to know her stuff. Too bad her ugly divorce had left her soured on men, and it was beginning to come out in her column. She had to do something to turn herself around. So maybe a little harmless flirting wouldn't hurt. She only wanted to see if she still had what it took, and the guy flying in first class in the loud Hawaiian shirt looked like a good candidate. The first time Michael Cameron spotted Kate was when she "accidentally" dropped her purse at his feet in the airport lounge. And he instinctively knew that she was "the one." Mike firmly believed in love at first sight but had never found the one woman who could make that belief come true. Until now. He had to find a way to meet her and get to know her better. And what better way to get to know her than to hire her to find him a wife? This hilarious tale of a cynical divorcée and the man who believes in love at first sight is one of the wittiest, sexy stories that I've read in a long time. Julie Ortolon has created a fast-paced story of two people who just being around each other creates a sexual tension that makes the very air around them sizzle. The dialogue between the characters sparkles with warmth and humor and makes the reader feel like she's part of the story. You won't want to put this one down.

Summary: Charming, funny, and highly recommended!
Review: Kate Bradshaw was a single parent to a seven year old boy, Dylan, who had severe asthma. Her ex-husband had put work before his family and still did. Dylan was constantly disappointed and let down by the father. After all he had done, Kate no longer trusted men. However, she ran a column in an e-zine called Dear Cupid. The owner of the site was making noises about canceling it.

Michael Cameron was known in his field as Magic Man. He created special effects for movies and was one of the best! After his twenty year high school reunion he realized life was passing him by. He wanted a wife to come home to, kids, and to make memories. Then he met Kate at the airport. She disappeared too quickly for his taste, but she did not know she had dropped a business card of her next door neighbor's company, Wife For Hire. Michael had to meet her again! Now he had a way!

Kate agreed to help her best friend, Linda, by taking an assignment from Wife For Hire. She never dreamed her client would be the handsome man she had flirted with at the airport! She certainly never dreamed he wanted to hire her to help him find a wife! But Michael had a hidden motive. He wanted Kate for his wife! Being a client would keep her close and give him a chance to persuade Kate into saying Yes!

** What a wonderful story! It is filled with clever wit and funny scenes. Dylan just stole my heart! Readers will find this story to be a delight! Recommended! **

Summary: Just what the doctor ordered!
Review: Like a lot of people, I imagine, I've had a hard time getting into reading anything lately. By chance, I picked up Julie Ortolon's DEAR CUPID and found myself quickly immersed in this big-hearted, sexy-sweet romance. I was so immersed, in fact, that I read it--okay, devoured it!--in one sitting. DEAR CUPID is fun, fast-paced, and irresistibly romantic. Thanks for a lovely escape from reality, Ms. Ortolon! I've just put you on my auto-buy list.

Summary: I didn't really like the character of Kate...
Review: Maybe i just couldn't get into this book after reading 2 Rachel Gibson novels back to back which I adored. I found the character of Kate so very shallow. I know she was suppose to be fearful of getting into a relationship, but I don't think the author gave me any real redeeming qualities that could really make me like her. I just kept thinking Mike should have just let her go and found someone appreciative of his attention. I know we are suppose to believe deep down she has a heart of gold, but I tend to believe that she is as self absorbed as she says she is and that the marriage won't last. This was the 1st Julie Ortolon book I read and can't decide if I would trust reading another.

Summary: Very Good Read!!
Review: Since her divorce, Kate Bradshaw's online column "Dear Cupid" hasn't been scoring any points with her readers and the owner of the online magazine that runs her column threatened to cancel her if she didn't put the fun back into her romance advice. Kate needed to take control and regain her carefree spirit she'd lost in recent years. What better way than to find a man to make romance fun again. She didn't want a serious relationship, just someone to flirt with. Looking around, she spied Mike......

Mike Cameron believed in love at first sight, but he never found the "right girl" for himself. His job as a movie animator didn't help since he worked about sixteen hours a day. Relaxing, eyes closed, waiting for his flight at L.A. airport, Mike began thinking of marriage. His thoughts were interrupted when a woman spilled her purse at his feet. Upon opening his eyes, Mike found himself face to face with the most enchanting woman he had ever seen. He knew at that moment that she was the "right girl" and he intended to convince her that she would be very happy as Mrs. Mike Cameron.

Once again, Ms. Ortolon has delivered a well-written and delightful novel. Her characters are well-developed and there is much interaction among all these characters. The leading lady, Kate Bradshaw, has much on her plate. She is trying to put her life back on track after divorce from workaholic who had no time for his family. Her seven-year old son, Dylan, suffers with asthma and her confidence level is at an all-time low. Mike Cameron is the perfect hero for this story. Not brash or crude, he is caring, considerate and very patient with Kate, allowing her the time she needs to heal, but he is very determined to win her heart. You will just love the way he wins approval from Kate's little boy. Mike is so easy going you can't help but love him!

If you want to read a very good story try this one. And then try Julie's previous novel "Drive Me Wild". This author is now on my auto-buy list. Thank you Julie for many hours of reading pleasure.
