Rating: Summary: Another "heroine-disguised-as-a-boy" story Review: Aside from the heavy suspense-of-disbelief you must have to buy this premise, that a delicately boned young lady is successfully disguising herself as a boy, the storyline was just boring.Henrietta is trying to kill Jason, whom she believes killed her brother at Waterloo. He didn't (of course) but he's obviously stupid enough to have bought her ruse. Jason was boring, Henrietta (Harry) was annoying, and all in all, this is just another disappointing Coulter.
Rating: Summary: Pretty good Review: catherine coulter is an amazing author.. even though some of her books are sometimes kind of 2-stared... but anyways, lord harry was a great book except the ending was too quick. a third rewrite to continue the book a little bit would be excellent~! also, SIR harry and that girl he was in love with (i forgot her name) deserve their own book~! i would love to see mrs. coulter write a book on those two. they are part of the reason i enjoyed the book so much.. very good book.. good humor (as usual~! :), great plot, and i loved the herione.. she was great and made me very proud to be a woman~!
Rating: Summary: Excellent Review: Catherine Coulter is the Best of the best. I have read 39 of her books and just bought another 4. I can't put her books down until I've finished them. Lord Harry was most definately brilliant. I started laughing in the first chapter and did'nt stop until the book was finished. I would recommend that anybody who loves reading to read Catherine Coulter's books.
Rating: Summary: Lord Harry was impossible to put down! Review: Henrietta's antics kept you laughing until the very end, which proved rather emotional. Buy this book! You won't regret it. I've read it 5 times and still find myself enchanted by it.
Rating: Summary: Invigorating Review: I absolutely loved this book. It was wonderful. My favorite Coulter novel. Lord Harry is my idea of what women should be like. Outstanding, independant and with a mind of their own. To set out to prove that we're just as good as any man, when we put our minds to it. Go Catherine!
Rating: Summary: Well written. The characters were real & enjoyable. Review: I enjoyed everything about this book. The characters made me laugh& cry. Women will find strength in Henrietta's
character. She suceeds where many women would not even
dream to venture. I'm always skeptical when an author trys to make a female character come off as a man. I often find them unbelievable.
However, not in this case. Coulter does a wonderful job.
Rating: Summary: Not So Serious Review: I liked it. It's only my 3rd Coulter. But I thought it was entertaining and that's all I ask for. Although I agree that Hettie is a bit daft. She makes her assumptions based on a letter. And doesn't even try to meet Jason and see his side of the story. But then..... she wouldn't have been wounded and in Jason's constant care for days. Give it a chance and take it for what it is.
Rating: Summary: it was great Review: I liked the plot and how Hetty was determined to avenge her brother. Hetty was in deep mourning for her brother Damien who died at Waterloo. She receives a letter and believes the machinations of Jason cause her brothers death. She masquerades as Lord Harry so that she can duel with Jason. They do duel and secrets come out. The ending is quite a surprise. I really loved this book. It was wonderful.
Rating: Summary: One of Coulter's best ever Review: I LOVED Lord Harry! This is one of Coulter's best historicals -- I read it while on vacation and I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN. Great plot, captivating scenes, wonderful doses of Coulter's fabulous sense of humor . . . DEFINITELY ONE OF COULTER'S FINEST. Don't miss it. Really.
Rating: Summary: Great book until the end Review: I loved the premise of the book, even the execution of most of the story, but the ending was choppy and a great disappointment. Almost like the author didn't have control over the editor cutting a huge section out of the end. It was sudden, abrupt, and totally unsatisfactory. I demand a third rewrite.
