Review: I grew up in the Northwest and not only found the story to be spellbinding but also the places that are being referred to in this book very familiar as I have been there. Nellie has captured the spirit of the people and the times they lived in. I have always been in awe of the people that came west and the hard times they faced. It also shows that the white people and the Indians worked together. Her book also gives a little history of the area in that time frame. Great book. I highly recommend it. Also great description of the characters in the book. Couldn't put it down.
