Summary: A Little Light on the Laurens
Review: Oh "Devil", where are you? I would read a shopping list if it was written by the woman who gifted us with the "Bar Cynster", but A Season of Scandal was a disappointment. There was no heat, no passion, no scandal. I coudn't shake the feeling that both of these stories were outlines rushed into print before Ms Laurens' magic touch added all the texture and richness of character that is the hallmark of her style. The truth is, I just didn't care what happened to any of the characters. I didn't know them well enough. Normally, the characters in a Stephanie Laurnes' book sizzle off the page - these were bearly lukewarm. This is not a bad book. It is just that all of her other books are so very very good.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Very Mediocre
Review: This book was a very ssllooww read. It was boring! I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone. However, the characters were good, but the plot wasn't there for either of the stories. I do give credit to the author for naming the book correctly. "A Season for Scandal" was exactly what it was. There was meant to be scandal, but in my opinion there was none. I have not totally lost my faith in Mrs. Laurens, and look forward to reading another of her books.
