Rating: Summary: Katherine Deauxville's Usual Good Work Review: Having become a fan of Katherine Deauxville's writing in the past couple of years, I have enjoyed her books very much. Far from being run-of-the-mill bodice-rippers, Ms. Deauxville's books include elements of historical research, explorations of emotional responses, and an often wry and humorous view of the human condition. Having had the privilege of reading one of Ms. Deauxville's best works, a literary novel about the historical South, now out of print, I am happy to see that she has once again produced a readable and very enjoyable romp in which her fans can delight. Good work once again from a talented writer.
Rating: Summary: Add this one to your keeper collection! Review: I absolutely LOVED Enraptured! What a rare treat! It was sensual and very humorous. Once I began this delightful book, I really couldn't put it down! It's wonderful! Marigold is such a unique heroine. She's a stunning contrast to the sexy, enigmatic Duke of Westermere. This is one romance you don't want to miss!
Rating: Summary: Katherine Deauxville has written a wonderful romantic comedy Review: I devoured this book with the same gusto that I would enjoy consuming some sinfully rich dessert at my favorite restaurant. This book is a delightful confection with a frothy, whipped cream layer of hilarious slapstick and a more subtle dark chocolate layer of satire. Like any rich dessert, a lot of talent and skill was used in the preparation. The author has created historically accurate characters and setting. She has written two of the funniest love scenes that this reader has ever read. So indulge yourself and read this book.
Rating: Summary: How lucky!! Review: I found a "new" copy of this in amazon's used books sales. I have for SO LONG wanted to read this. I just read her Stage Door Canteen (yes Maggie Davis IS Katherine Deauxville!), so I wants to visit some of her older stuff. I was surprised when I sound there were copies of this still available. It's brilliant, it's so witty, and really ahead of it's time. I loved the characters...Ms. Davis...hum, Deauxville...SHINES!!! This should be REPRINTED!! It was a head of it's time.

Rating: Summary: Enraptured held me spellbound from beginning to end! Review: Marigold Fenwick, along with her friends Penelope MacDougal and Sophronia Stack, set out from Yorkshire to London to confront Sacheveral de Vries, 12th duke of Westermere. It is their intention to do whatever it takes to get the duke of Westermere to help the poor and oppressed of Stokesbury Hatton, "a grimy little town owned by the dukes of Westermere." Unfortunately things don't work out quite as they had planned, and Marigold soon finds herself betrothed to the duke. The adventures that follow Marigold and her friends, from London's "jet set" of society ("The Ton") to the depths of the Stokesbury Hatton coal mine, will have you laughing, weeping and filled with suspense. A truly delightful and enchanting historical romance set in England during the early 1800's, Enraptured is bound to keep you captivated from beginning to end. Lisa Cissna aka AvidBookie

Rating: Summary: You'll be beguiled, amused and ENRAPTURED Review: One of the best Regency historicals I've read in a long time. Witty, sexy, charming and moving all at once. Some historicals make you laugh; some make you cry; some make you think. This one does all three. As a romance writer myself, I can't think of a higher compliment than that. Keep 'em coming, faster, Ms Deauxville!
