Rating: Summary: The real one, two sides of real people Review: SB has given us a enlightening look into what many of us wish to know, our two sides. The reviewers here are doing something they should not, they are giving the story away, the entire story, so I have decided to write this review from a different point of view. I believe SB has had some desire to look inside the two lives of most of us in general. She strikes the nerve of curiosity fantastically. The reason for giving a review should be to recommend or not, but definitly not to ruin the story for others. I say absolutely yes read this one, it will entertain you if not do you some good. I hope I put a twist in this review by trying to avoid the basic story of the book but adding wonder to this wonderful THEME! A book I recommend that has a similar theme lurking back in the sales ranks and will do very well if it gets publicity is SB 1 by Karl Mark Maddox.
Rating: Summary: predictable but good Review: Since i am an avid reader of sandra brown, i've come to know her writing style. I knew there would be a baby the moment that lucas showed up at aislinn's door. its one of the rare books that i actually agree with the female main character's descision. they didnt draw out the confessing-of -the-love plot like she has in so many of her book. It was a good book and it reads very quickly. I recommend it to anyone who wants a quick boost in the romance department.
Rating: Summary: Very emotional, heartwarming read Review: This book ranks in the top five of my favorit SB reads. Although it's short, the plot is very well-developed and the characters have amazing depth, especially the hero. Lucas Greywolf is one sexy man! You so feel for him and the emotional torture he goes through in this book. Other recommendations: any of SB's historicals, Slow Heat in Heaven.
Rating: Summary: Honor Bound is a simple timeless love story Review: This hardcover release of one of Sandra Brown's classic romance written using her pesudonym Erin St. Clare may feel outdated but its theme of underlying racial tension and love is resonant. Escaped convict and ex-lawyer Lucas Greywolf is a Native Arizona Indian wrongly accused as a dissident who desperately needs to see his dying grandfather the last time. He holds the innocent "Anglo" Aislinn Andrews as hostage and shares a night of passion that yields a child. Lucas, after his release, discovers her secret and forces her to marry. Aislinn finds herself surrendering to the hardened cynic as she unearths the honor and passion in Lucas as a lover and father. Honor Bound is a simple love tale packed with heated tension and emotions that unfortunately lacks the finesse of maestro Kathleen Eagle in depicting inter-racial romance. It, however, stays faithful to its exploration of the shades of love to satisfy romance readers.
Rating: Summary: ROMANCE AT ITS BEST!!! Review: This is a keeper. I read it a few years ago and this hardback must be a reprint. Worth the purchase price. I love the story, in that it just gets better and better as you get near the end. Highly recommend!!
Rating: Summary: Give me Judith McNaught! Review: This is actually the 2nd Sandra Brown book which I have read. I didn't particularly like the 1st one but thought that I should just give her another shot. I'm not sure if I've been biased from the very beginning, but the lengthy description in the 1st few pages of the book irked me. A short summary of the book: Lucas Greywolf was jailed unjustly for a crime which he hadn't committed. He broke out of prison and took Aislinn hostage. He was a half Indian-Anglo while she's a pure Anglo princess. So, throughout the whole book, you will be reading about how Lucas hated himself for falling in love with his "enemy", how he had to deal with his own inferiority complex and whenever he felt guilty, he would lash out at Aislinn. *shrug* Give me a Judith Mcnaught anytime!
Rating: Summary: Sandra Brown Spectacular Review: This Sandra Brown best book ever. I love the characters. They were evenly balanced. The plot was extremely well-written. Lucas and Aislin is now my favorite Sandra Brown couple. Go out and get the book.
Rating: Summary: just great!!! Review: This was the first book I read, and I was hooked. Uptill now I have read 7 of her books but I think Honor Bound and the Texas trilogy are THE BEST I have read. I wonder what other readers considder her top-10 list, please let me know!! Lucas is a self-made man in conflict with his emotions for Aislin and his hatred for the rest of "her people". Full of passion, suspence and finally tenderness.
