Rating: Summary: "The Cat's Fancy" is no dog! Review: A funny, sexy modern fable, this book will keep you turning pages straight through. Julie Kenner's gentle and lively sense of humor is evident in this story, as is her great imagination. This is the most original romance I have read in a long time. I can't wait for the next one!
Rating: Summary: Cute and diverting, nothing more. Review: Attorney Nicholas Goodman's cat Maggie is hopelessly in love with him, so much so that she risks everything to become a human for a limited time to try and win his heart for her own (only then can she stay human). Too bad 'her Nicholas' is about to enter into a marriage of convenience with the daughter of one of his firm's biggest clients. Can Maggie's unconditional and pure love save Nicholas from a terrible mistake? The Cat's Fancy is a cute enough piece of fluff, but it lacks a certain realistic anchor to make Maggie's love seem truly magical. Nonetheless the story and characters are entertaining and sweet enough to make worthwhile reading for those who want a little special magic in their romances.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful premise, not so wonderful read. Review: Being a cat lover, I loved the premise of The Cat's Fancy and couldn't wait to read it. I ended up very disappointed in the story overall. I never connected with the characters, and actually disliked several of them. The main characters seemed flat and emotionless and I found the secondary romance to be much more interesting. To me it was just scene after scene of action and no emotional depth. Mainly I was just bored with this book.

Rating: Summary: Back Cover Copy Review: Get Ready For ... The Cat's Meow -- Straight-laced Nicholas Goodman's life was going just fine. A hotshot attorney in a huge law firm, Nick had money, success, and a girlfriend whose father just happened to be his biggest client. All the aspects of his life were tucked neatly into nice little corners, just the way Nick liked it. Until he opened his door and found a completely naked, slightly befuddled, green-eyed beauty on his doorstep. A Woman's Wish -- Maggie had found the man of her dreams -- Nick Goodman. He was smart and sexy, and she knew he loved her. Maggie's only problem was ... well, she wasn't entirely human. But Maggie was determined, and through the power of love, she was given a chance -- and a lithe woman's body. She had one week to convince Nicholas to admit that he loved her. One week to prove that a guy like Nick could fall for "a girl like Maggie." One week to prove that a cat's fancy could be the love of a lifetime.
Rating: Summary: READ IT! Review: Hi all, I just completed Julie Kenner's "The Cat's Fancy". It is a contemperary. Maggie "the cat" is in love with her owner Nickolas. So what is a kitty to do? Well, in Maggies case, talk to the old Tom. Mistic one eyed cat that he is, Maggie gets to be human for one week. But she has to get Nick to say the three magic words. This won't be difficult, or will it? I found this to be a laugh out loud story. Maggie is just so much cat. Nick is a lawyer, hmmm, aren't they the stodgy type? I deffinately reccomend this book. Rating: Summary: My Favorite of the Year! Review: I absolutely adored this book! I couldn't put it down, and I've been recommending it to all my friends! To say this was my favorite of the year is an understatement ... it's one of my favorites ... period! Do yourself a favor and check out this delightful romance ... or anything else by Julie Kenner.
Rating: Summary: The Cat's Fancy Review: I found the plot of this story to be very disappointing. The main character, Maggie, naivete while charming at first , grated after awhile. I prefer that the female lead character be more independent and self assured; particularly a feline. The author illustrates the realistic challenges a cat may face if suddenly they became human. But, most readers of fantasy romance novel are not looking for 'realities'. This takes away the magic and makes one think factually. Thus the rationalization by the other characters of Maggie's repeated disappearances seemed unrealistic and very far fetched. The writing was simplistic and the story line was not well developed. The ending seemed rushed and haphazard. Not a good read for me.
Rating: Summary: Delightful, fast-paced and fun!! Review: I just finished APHRODITE'S KISS and then read THE CAT'S FANCY. Both books are pure delight. Maggie and Nick are wonderful characters, and the secondary story with Deena and Hoop is delightful! Definitely a keeper for me! Absolutely purrrrfect!
