Summary: amusing contemporary romance
Review: Ashley and Michael Kavanagh divorced two years ago over her mistrust of him but both insist to themselves and to his sister and her best friend Kim that they are over the other. Each one plans to marry someone else and Kim is sad because she knows they still love one another.

Realtor Ashley has had a terrible day when her car broke down as she was to meet a client and subsequently learns that her furnace caused a fire in her home. . Her only hope for salvation is the lottery draw that she has faithfully played using the anniversary of her first date with Michael and her wedding day as her lucky numbers. Her bad day turns around when she hears the winning ticket is one of her lucky numbers. Michael happens to be the other winner.

Kim arranges a cruise vacation for Ashley and Michael, but fails to tell either that they will share a ship let alone a cabin. Though they squabble, both realize they still love the other, but obstinately neither wants to admit it for fear of rejection and ridicule. Kim's blatant matchmaking looks doomed to failure.

HOT NUMBER is an amusing contemporary romance that leaves the audience chuckling at some of the antics of the lead couple and Kim. However, Ashley comes across as spoiled as she never takes the time to find out what really happened, but instead J'accuse Michael and walked. Though Kim is a female Machiavellian, fans will understand her tactics and applaud them as a last ditch desperate Hail Mary pass.

Summary: Funny & Lighthearted Tale of Two Exes...On a Cruise...
Review: Hitting the lottery is so weird to Ashley Kavanagh since she has been using those same numbers for years...and yet after she gets a divorce, she finally hits them. Pure luck? Or destiny?
Taking the offer for the free cruise from the local travel agency who wants to promote its company using her lottery winning fame for their lure, Ashley looks at it as a much needed vacation away from her bungled life and the painful divorce she had gone through.
Things seem great, fabulous even...until...fate seems to have played a cruel joke and mixed her cabin up with her ex-husband's. Why is this happening to her? How could they be stuck with each other after two years in the same cabin on the same ship?

Michael Kavanagh was feeling much the same. His carefully panned life was once again falling apart before his eyes. Two years! It had taken nearly two years for him to get back to somehwat normal agfyer his ex-wife left him over some lie that she consieved and now she was here on this ship! In the same cabin! What kind of bad joke was this?
Since the ship had no way of correcting the problem and neither one wanting to make everyone around them aware of their divorce and hostility, they decided to rough it and stay in the cabin together.
Sparks soon fly and the fun begins. Ashley soon realizes that her love for Michael is far from dead and buried and Micael in turn finds himself once again helpless to her charms. But what happens now? They both are engaged to new people? Can Ashley stop closing her mind off to what really happened two years ago and hear the trtuh for once? Can Michael convince her this time or is it a lost cause? Does he even want to dredge up old memories? Can his heart take another blow?

Funny and lighthearted for the most part, and sometimes intese and eomtional. Very believably written. My first from this author.

Summary: Hot enough to keep me hooked.
Review: I started off on Mr. Complete and contined on to all the other S.S. books I could find. Hot number was as good as the rest. I liked the characters and the plot. I thought it was funny. When you get to see how the "mix-up" happened, you see how it could happen. Not so far fetched. I thought the author could have shown more of the growth of the rebudding romance then she did, but it was still there. The sex scenes were pretty good too, Ive read better, but Ive also read way worse. That kinda falls into the could have been more. I liked it either way. This is a very enjoyable author. This is a light, fun, fast paced-page turner. It was funny and sweet and I have to say that one of my favorite parts of the book is the end. The twist. Funny. Enjoy!!

Summary: A fun, fast read
Review: Michael and Ashley Kavanaugh are a divorced couple who win the lottery (separately, by playing their anniversary date) and end up on the same cruise together - minus either of their current love interests. Through Michael's sister's machinations (who happens to be Ashley's best friend) they wind up in the same cabin onboard the cruise. Sparks fly like crazy between these two and they can barely keep their hands to themselves. They are still wildly attracted to each other but both are wary of each other since each feels they were the wronged party in their divorce 2 years earlier. Ashley thinks Michael was unfaithful, Michael thinks Ashley lacked faith in him. This was a light and fun read.

Summary: NOT Hot
Review: This book was NOT HOT. The storyline was weak, the characters were weak, and the "love" between the two main characters was not believable. The story revolves round a divorced couple who both end up on the same cruise in the same cabin. There was huge potential here - to bring to life the ports of call and the setting, to fully describe the boat and the atmosphere, to make the characters romantic, etc. however this book doesn't take advantage of anything. The two main characters are childish and not very well spoken, the people they meet on the cruise are not fully developed or interesting, and the "sex" scenes are not hot and not very romantic either. It was not well-written and not well-developed. The book was halfway interesting up until about the ¾ mark, and after that it just fell very flat and was a complete struggle to get through. I do not recommend this book at all.
