Summary: A good holiday read.
Review: As an avid romance reader living in Australia, I am always looking for more authors to read. There appears to be a severe shortage of good authors which are published for release in Australia. I picked up this book, Just Kate, hoping to find another author along the lines of my favourites, Sandra Brown, Elizabeth Lowell and Linda Howard. This book was quite well written and I did enjoy it, but I found it quite offensive (being Australian myself) how the hero, Sean, used our slang. I have never come across an Australian guy who calls his girl "Sheila" as an endearment. Basically I found the book a good read, with plenty of sex, but not the sexual tension that makes you ache while reading it. I'll read other books by LLM, I hope it was just the Australian references that disappointed me with this book.

Summary: Another Aussie who likes the book but hates the slang
Review: I agree wholeheartedly with the previous reviewer! If an Aussie male called me a sheila I would consider it to be a HUGE insult. As much as I love to read the romance novels written by the very clever American authors, I have yet to find one that can write accurately about Australia, esp. regarding the correct usage of our slang. Strange how one word out of place can make you cringe....I was thoroughly enjoying the very alpha Sean until he kept saying 'sheila' - it ruined the mood each time for me & traust me, I would have loved to have been on that camping trip with him!

Summary: Just Kate
Review: Just Kate is a reissue of an old book. The story is good, with LOTS of sex. The conflict comes when Kate goes to visit her sister's ex and her nephew. The family doesn't like it, her dad is powerful, mom is a wimp, and our hero realizes he married the wrong sister. Much of the story is set in Australia and is fairly typical Lael Miller.(old style) I liked it when I read it many years ago. If you're a fan, you've already read it. If you're not, it's worth a glance.

Summary: Australia rocks!
Review: Poor Kate, she wanted to please her dad and marry his assistant- his campaign manager, but he blunders it by selling illegal substances right before her eyes. Her dead sister's husband is almost mugged, and she helps him out. What he doesn't know is that she has had a crush on him since the day her sister brought him into their lives. Finally, she has enough of her father's high-handedness and takes off for a little vacation- to Australia. She visits with her nephew and Sean, only to fall deeply in love with him! After a few 'romps in the hay', they decide to marry and have children of their own and she adopts little Gil. If you loved Just Kate, then you'll absolutely love Eternal Undying Love by Brett Keane!
