Rating: Summary: A Message from the Author Review: I am unsure why people find it fun to play with the review process on Amazon.com but well, they do. Below you will see comments under the names of C. Aiken (supposedly Clay Aiken of course) and his dog Raleigh. You will also see comments from Simon Cowell.
I am sure these famous people have not taken the time to read my book and post such inanane comments about it so please try to ignore the children playing on the playground here. My book means a great deal to me and up until this playing began I had never recieved a bad review for it. I hope you can distinguish the real reviews from the childish bashing here. Thanks for the moment of your time.
An update on the book - it is presently being reviewed by a number of movie producers for its potential. I also have a young actor interested in producing it. I'll keep everyone updated on the progress of the movie as it comes.
Thanks again
Morgan Rowan
Rating: Summary: wonderful refreshing book Review: I loved the book and never wanted to lay it down. I was pulled in to every emotion through every page. As I read the book I could feel every emotion that the author was feeling.
Rating: Summary: wonderful refreshing book Review: I ordered this book not knowing what to expect and what I found was an amazing journey that the author took me on. She brought me into her world, I felt the tears, the joy and the heartache in her words. This is an amazing book to read. Its very easy to follow and you will be transported into her world.
Rating: Summary: Not what it's cracked up to be Review: I've been on Clay Aiken Boards for a while and have heard about this book and even thought I didn't hear as much about the book as I did the author I went ahead and bought myself a copy just to see what the book was about and I have to say that The good reviews that give it 5 out of 5 stars or 4 out of 5 stars are all coming from friends of the author's or those that call themselves "Claymates" There is no way this book has movie potential. Although it is halfway decent it really isn't worth the tree they killed to publish it and doesn't bring much money in Garage Sales or e-bay.
Rating: Summary: A LOOK INTO THE LIFE OF A BEAUTIFUL PHENOMENAL WOMAN Review: Morgan Rowan writes like a singer sings, with intuition on how to touch the reader, and a way of bringing you into her life, and keeping you close to her. I am actually reading this book for the second time now, because it has haunted me, i feel like i may have missed something the first time, and i want to know more! this book is excellent, mystical, and powerful.....
Great job, and looking forward to more books!!!
Rating: Summary: A DIFFERENT LIFE Review: Oh how different her life was from mine, I never knew the world she writes of, yet she made we feel as if it was me with every turn of the page. She made my heart race with love and anticipation and my pages wet with tears. This is a must read for everyone who never knew the 60's or for those wanting to go back in time.
Rating: Summary: A Testament of Spirit Review: This book is a testament of spirit in more ways than one! It is a testament to the courage of spirit; the endurance of spirit; the strength of spirit; and the passion of spirit! (And that's just the human spirit)! It is also a book about "spirits rebellious". Above all however, it is a powerful and moving love story, retold from a bygone age when we dared to dream, believe in those dreams, and then had the passion and courage to reach out for them.Morgan tells a story from the heart about the extraordiary, almost mythic relationship, between herself and the first love of her life, Jim - who in many ways somehow calls to mind visions of James Dean, Jim Morrison, and many another who's lights shone a little too brightly for this world, all rolled into one. But it is so much more than just 'their' story. It is also a story about the strength and tenacity of Morgan's own spirit. Her courage in being able to extricate herself from a destructive relationship, fight for her daughter, and follow the course of real love - wherever it may lead. And where it leads is both sad and hopeful. A testament to the endurance of true love and its' continuance even when it's 'protaganists' have moved on to 'other dimensions'. It's both beautiful and uplifting, but be warned - it's DEFINITELY a ten hankie job!!! For anyone who lived through the late sixties and early seventies, even retrospectively, it's also a glorious wallow in the nostalgia of an age where people still dared dream, and believed they could change the world with love and hope alone! Read this often enough, and we might all begin to remember that we probably still can! And as well as all that, it's wonderfully evocative of both 'period' and 'place' to boot. I guarantee, you'll really feel like you're right there with her. Well I did anyway! It's a beautiful book. I'd highly recommend it.
Rating: Summary: A Trip Into Nothingness Review: This book is so cosmic. It echoes with light. And it's like an endless upper. Especially after two tabs of acid. Morgan's voice striped the bark off the tree of my mind, totally.Find the red man, Morgan and do not let him out of your sight. You must check the soap and walk the dog three times then when the moon is full they will come. They will come in black helicopters with many drugs. And Merv Griffin shall be first because he is the most unholy. He must be protected from all harm or the winged ones will come down and pluck out the eyes of the unwary. And you shall set forth to Raleigh wave the laurel branch three times facing to the west then stand in a circle of salt and throw broccoli over your left shoulder so that the unholy one will be powerless against the red man.
Rating: Summary: Utterly dreadful. Review: This book leaves you feeling like a diaper rash in the August sun. Rubbish is moving to Barbados so it does not have to be associated with complete tripe such as this.
Rating: Summary: A modern fairytale Review: This book made me cry as i read it. It draws deeply on Princess Morning Stars life, and as such is a deeply honest and moving account of a young girls growth into womanhood. It is a modernday fairytale of starcrossed lovers, who meet briefly, only to lose each other for a while. Each has their own destiny to follow, their personal dragons to confront and slay. I'd certainly recomend this book. This is going to make a great 'chickflick'. It would get a hanky rating of 10, I wept with hapiness when Morning and Heaven are reunited, and with sadness as Morning lost her Prince. Don't miss out on this.
