Rating: Summary: What a Wonderful Love Story Review: Meeko Moore knew she had talent. She just wanted everyone to treat her like she was just plain Tammi in her home town. She would not compromise her belief and sing songs that go against it. Tamika decides to go home and visit the place where she grew up. She found much more. Rev. Tyler Barnett. Tyler was a beautiful person inside and out. He was mesmerized with Tamika at there first meeting in her mother's kitchen. He decided he would pursue her and see where things go. I really liked this book. It was very down to earth and believable. When you think about decisions that you have to make in your own life. If you just follow your heart, you usually make the right decision. Get the book!

Rating: Summary: Ms Manees has done it again! Review: Ms. Manees continues to amaze me with her ability to write novels which are just solid, good, down to earth romances with characters from the entertainment world who you would expect to be anything but solid, humble and down-to-earth people. And to include a preacher?! I read this book shortly after it was published last year and it continues to occupy pride of place on my bookshelf - I still go back to it time and time again, whenever I need a filler. It's a marvelous romance from a Christian perspective, and it proves that Christian romances do not have to be dull, boring and so 'other worldly' nobody would ever believe it! Here was a Christian romance between two perfectly normal people who are not afraid of their sexuality, but who choose to adhere to their Christian principles. All For Love still remains my favourite Manees novel (I just can't let go of Darryl) but Follow Your Heart runs a really close second.
Rating: Summary: Excellent! Review: This book told the story of how a local church girl turned recording star, Tameka Morgan fell in love with her new assistant pastor, Tye Barnett. Their love causes problems for both parties because they both have admirers who will go to any length to hurt that love and get revenge for not having "their" love returned. I have read no other book like this one. This is one of the few books I have read in a two day period. I could not put it down. And having finished reading it at 5:00 AM in the morning, I felt compelled to review this book. I HAD to tell somebody about it even if only on-line. Having been raised in the church all my life, I understood and heard before, the language, cliches, and scriptures used in the book and loved every one of them. I am so happy to have found an author such as Ms. Manees, who could write a romance novel with a "Christian" perspective. This in no way took away from the romance, love, and suspense this story held. I did not know how she was going to keep the story interesting. I mean, A ROMANCE NOVEL WITH A MINISTER? Who ever heard of such before? Well, when I opened this book I could not put it down. Every free moment I got, and I do mean EVERY free moment I got I was reading this book. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book to any and everyone. Its a must read. Having read this story I can not stop until I have read every book by Raynetta Manees. CAN SHE TOP THIS ONE? I shall see. I must see.

Rating: Summary: Excellent! Review: This book was a one-nighter for me. I just couldn't seem to put it down. Even when I dozed for a few minutes, I woke only to continue reading. A true love story between a star and a man of God and the obstacles they overcome. This is definitely one to pass on!
Rating: Summary: Will read in one night Review: This is the first novel I have read by this author and I am in the process of ordering her other books now. I really enjoyed reading this book. At first I was wondering how is she going to write a romance about a minister that is going to be good. Because you know he can't be out "sinning". But she tied it up so nicely. I liked the part about the church and the mentioning of the "fan" also the beauty shop incident was hilarious. Keep up the good work
Rating: Summary: A book that goes straight to the heart! Review: Well, my church congregation may be mostly white, but this book had me really laughing at its wonderful portrayal of daily life in a church community. The heroine Tameka was sweet, and Assistant Pastor Ty Barnett is to die for. He can come preach at our church any time he likes! <ggg> Especially if he'll agree to go to a church beach party and strip down. <G> And others are right--the beauty parlor scene is a great one!
Rating: Summary: This book is all that and a bag of chips!!!!!!! Review: What can I say other than I loved this book!!!! Sometimes you do not believe in love at first sight, but it happened to Tameka and Tyler. It's a beautiful tale of country preacher meets famous R& B singer and what do you get - a love that's made in heaven. He's a fan of her God-given musical talent, and she admires his spiritual wisdom. This is a must read book. I'm a true fan of Ms. Mannees, I loved "All For Love" and now this one, please continue to write these great love novels for the sistahs.
