Summary: A sure fire page-turner!
Review: "It Happened At Midnight" is a light reading, modern day romance novel with a very suspenseful twist. The book spans over 27 years and revolves around the kidnapping of an infant and the guilt of a brokenhearted family. Little do they know that the answer to all their questions is close at hand. The characters are intriguing and you will find yourself rooting for each and every one of them, especially during the passion that ensues between Michaela and Harrison. While, the talk of the "Langtry Legend" can be a bit much at times, the book is exciting and almost breathtaking as you envision the mountains of Wyoming. It's one book you won't be able to put down. A surefire page-turner!

Summary: Disappointing and Uneven
Review: Although Ms. London is a fine writer, and I enjoyed this novel, it was a disappointing read. Maybe this is a continuation in a series, and I have missed the earlier stories. The connections between the ancestors, parents, brother and protagonists were, at times, muddled and not constructive to developing the plot or characters. Or maybe I have missed earlier books in this series if this is a series and am therfore operating at a disadvantage (that the author did not resolve). In any event, some aspects of the book were well developed, some overdone and some underdone.

Summary: It Happened At Midnight
Review: I just finished this book, and I had to write and it recommend to anyone who loves a good romance, mixed with a mystery. The book starts out with a stolen baby, and picks up 27 years later. The family of baby Sable, has never gotten over her disappearance. Now Michaela, her sister is back in Wyoming, trying to figure out what to do with her life. She feels there is something she needs to do, something she has forgotten about the night Sable was taken. Harrison Kane, is a man she grew up with, who has always been a little in love with her. He has secrets, and together they look for the answers. The Langtry family are all wonderful characters, and I can't wait for Cait's next book. I have so many guestions!

Summary: Exciting romantic suspense
Review: Twenty-seven years ago in Shiloh, Wyoming, a female intruder killed the maid and kidnapped Sable, the six-week old child of Faith and Jacob Langtry. With not a word in all those years, the victimss family still suffers regrets and guilt though none could have prevented the incident.

Sabless older sister, Michaela has just returned home. Her meteorology career hit stormy weather in New York. Meanwhile in Shiloh, Harrison Kane II opens up a TV station. He wants Michaela, who he worshipped from afar as a teen, to join the team. As they fall in love, he learns secrets about both their families that make a permanent relationship seem impossible.

IT HAPPENED AT MIDNIGHT is an exciting romantic suspense that focuses on the long-term aftermath to the survivors of an ugly occurrence. The exciting story line is due to the lead characters and their feelings seem genuine, especially their mourning the loss of Sable. Much of how Michaela reacts to love comes from her guilt of not protecting her infant sister although she herself was only four at the time. Ms. London has started what appears to be an intriguing series that will please fans of the sub-genre if this novel is any indication.
