Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Good
Review: The character were very well developed and I enjoyed the book. But I would have given it 5 stars had the author made the love scenes more romantic and detailed. Lucky is a wonderful hero and the heroine wasn't physically perfect which many other authors tend to do. I loved the fact that he was able to love her for who she was as oppose to what she looked like. Beauty is skin deep!

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Creepy
Review: This book was disappointing. It went on far too long, the hero is pathological, and the heroine is a doormat for putting up with that kind of abusive behavior. Thoroughly disliked both characters. More interesting was a subplot with an American earl named Kerlain. Future book, I suppose.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A dark, tortured hero meets his match
Review: This is a terrific book if you like challenging, unusual heros instead of a more run-of-the-mill hero. The story isn't as humorous as the next book in the series, Lady's Wager, but I think the story is much more compelling and emotional, and the characters much more interesting. Lady Clara is a wonderful heroine, who teaches Lucky to trust and love again. This may not be the kind of love story for the faint of heart, but I loved it!!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Engaging characters
Review: This is an engaging portrait of two lovers who will both appeal to the reader. I especially like it that the female lead is not a great beauty, but still ends up with the love of an enticing hero. I would like to see more of Lucien - could Ms. Spencer consider a sequel?
