Summary: a beautiful tale of love.......sure to make you smile
Review: Carrie is a master. This is a beautiful love story. It captures you from page one. Not only are the main characters Lexi and Amanda well rounded and thought out, the secondary characters are also interesting! The plot stays strong and keeps you glued until the very last page. A must have for the romantic at heart.

Summary: One great Romance Story of all Time
Review: Carrie is one great writer, answers all fan mail and is one sweet person. I read the book from beginning to end in a couple of days. Couldn't put it down. Lex and Amanda are very riviting characters. I've read and am reading her two sequel's to this first book on the web and both are just as good as Destiny's Crossing.

Summary: Every word is worth reading
Review: Destinys Crossing is a fantastically written book and even that's an understatement. The characters are so well written and believable, and the story keeps you glued to pages. It's funny, sensitive and I think the feelings between the two main characters are everyones dream relationship. It's very hard to put the book down and I read it so quickly I had to slow myself down as I just didn't want it to end. I can't wait for another Carrie Carr book and would love to see these characters again, down to the Housekeeper and the Grandparents. Don't miss out on a novel that will keep you chuckling to yourself throughout, and is so romantic it's perfect.

Summary: Destiny's Crossing Is A True Romance!
Review: I absolutely fell in love with this book. It's touching depiction of love between two people who are suddenly brought together under unusual circumstances left me sighing and breathless. It's a wonderful romance with characters who are memorable and become a part of your heart.

Summary: I couldn't finish...
Review: I did enjoy the book, in a simplistic sort of way -- But there came a point where it became too repetitive, too shallow and too unbelievable. I found nearly every character in the book to be a bit too unbelievable and the two main characters lacked depth.

It seemed that with every new chapter some character in the book had something new to cry about. Without giving away portions of the book -- I wouldn't be surprised if one of the characters started getting weepy recalling the time she went to the corner and bought a hotdog from a vendor. This very much lead to the unbelievably of these characters.

I nearly finished the first book (The book is composed of two in the series) when I just had to put it down. Just not my type of read. Yes, I got the warm fuzzy feelings one sometimes gets when reading a novel of this sort -- And the book was cute, but the unbelievably of the characters coupled with the extraordinary circumstances which they met and were 'forced' to stay together just didn't suit my tastes.

Summary: Is it a Romance? Or a Thriller?
Review: I enjoyed this book and plan to read the next 2 in the series. Carr has a truly romantic style. Unlike many of the other uber writers, she has dared to give her two characters family to surround them, and she writes convincingly of the family relationships (though the bad characters can be a bit one-dimensional at times).

Unfortunately, at times the decision to have a family presence conflicts in a jarring way with the thriller part of the story. Carr placed her heroines in a real world with very human surroundings, and therefore when they are shot at or get into involved fights it just doesn't ring true with the "normal" world that drives the romantic plot.

The romantic plot really is pleasing, and I'm glad I read it for that reason.

Summary: Couldn't put it down!
Review: I enjoyed this story from the first page! The characters drew me in from the beginning, and I enjoyed the interplay between the two leads. The action sequences were top notch, and I was almost shivering from the rain after the first few chapters. This is a great love story, and I can't wait to read more from Carrie Carr. I hope to see more of these characters in the future!

Summary: World Record for Use of the Word "Towards"
Review: I put my best effort forth in attempting to finish this book. However, I was only able to endure part 1 and then had to give up. The overuse of the word "towards" was a terrible distraction to me, as well as the predictability of the events and their outcome as they were occurring. I found myself skipping over paragraphs, searching for a surprising twist, only to find none. Based on the first part, I could only recommend this book to someone looking for a "typical" lightweight paperback romance -- the kind that lack riveting, substantive storylines.

Summary: I Wanted To Like This Book
Review: I really did. I love Texas (my birthplace), I love romance, I love womyn. I winced at the price, but just knew I'd love it. Next time, I'll listen to my wallet. This book was simplistic and sappy in the extreme. There are better books out there.
