Summary: Darn Near Perfect is wonderfully real and romantic!
Review: Casey Richards had no intention of falling for the corporate shark who'd been forced by his boss to volunteer at the senior center she directed. Michael Parker was married to his job, just like her father. Dear old Dad had never been there when she needed him. Michael wouldn't be either; she knew that. Still, his sexy grin and sharp mind--not to mention those killer blue eyes--got to her. But when faced with a choice, Casey feared Michael would choose his job over her.

This really spoke to me, as many people in today's world struggle with these very issues. Liz Jarrett deals with work-home balance beautifully, as well as uses her humor to tell a sweet, often touching story. The cast of supporting characters are a hoot too. And then there's the magic car! This is one you won't want to miss!

Summary: It was Darned Near Perfect!
Review: Casey Richards works at a senior center and right now she's trying to scrape up enough money to get the center a new location. The last thing she needs is help -- especially the kind Michael Parker is offering. He waltzes into the center, ties up her phone line and can't even put up a shelf. He makes no secret of the fact he'd rather be anywhere else, but his boss demands he volunteers his time. Michael might be volunteering time, but he's not voluntarily falling for Casey, no he's doing that totally against his will -- he's falling and he's falling hard. Business has always been his top priority and now all he can think about is Casey. They say charity begins at home . . . so maybe Casey will be charitable enough to put him out of his romantic misery?

Darn Near Perfect is just that, darn near perfect. Liz Jarrett tells a tale that inspires both laughter and love!

Summary: Perfectly Romantic
Review: How many of us struggle with work versus personal life? Well, Casey Richards is doing just that. In her job as a Senior Citizen Center Director, she struggles to raise funding for the center's new, much needed building. Help comes in the form of Michael Parker, a corporate shark forced by his boss to volunteer. Casey and Michael lock horns immediately, but, as opposites often do, they also attract. Casey tries to guard her heart, but soon finds herself falling in love with a man exactly like her "work comes first" father. Michael, too, attempts to resist, but Casey's strength of character and devotion to her cause is irresistible. Can he have her and his ambitions? Only time--and Casey--will tell.

I loved this book. It's chock full of warmth and delightful humor. A Darn Near Perfect combination of laughter and romance.

Summary: Is she pregnant or isn't she?
Review: NOT EXACTLY PREGNANT, the first of two stories in this Harlequin Duets volume, provides a touch humor and romance in a small town in Kentucky. I hope you'll enjoy this story along with Liz Jarrett's, a new author.

Review: These books are really fun to read sometimes I will be in my own world reading them and just start laughing. My husband and kids think I am nuts at times but I forget there in the room when I get to reading. Thankfully my husband does not get offended by my reading them in fact sometimes he is encouraged by them. You get two terrific books in one and I have not found one yet that did not make me laugh.
