Summary: This was a GREAT book.
Review: DOING GOOD by Pamela Morsi is a story of Jane Lafton, a Middle Class woman married into an Upper Class world. Jane's main thrill i life was the country club her and her husband were members of, along with all of the other Upper Class couples in town. It wasn't until a life threatening car accident that her view of life changed. She made a promise with God to "do good" and that is exactly what she does.

This book was great! It is something everyone can relate to, because at some point everyone makes that promise to God. This book will make you laugh out loud, and it will also make you cry. I loved every character in this book, even the not so good ones. My only complaint is, it was very predictable..i knew right off the bat, what was wrong with Chester, and i also knew what the outcome of the book was going to be. None of these things ruined the book, for it is still a great book, and probably one of my favorates.

I highy recomend this book to anyone looking for a good "beach book", because this would be a perfect book to bring to the beach, and just relax and enjoy.

Summary: Back To The Drawing Board, Pam
Review: I always thoroughly enjoyed Pamela Morsi's historical novels. However, her attempts at contemporary fiction focusing on women's issues are feeble. The humor, characterization, and fun are gone. Instead, I detect an agenda of which I neither approve nor appreciate.
Until she returns to her classic style, I think I'll spend my money elsewhere.

Summary: PAMELA MORSI'S FIRST CONTEMPORARY IS A MUST READ!!
Review: I am a reader of both historical and contemporary romance who has found myself reading even more contemporaries than historicals as of late. I am also a huge fan of Pamela Morsi's (her book GARTERS makes my Top 10 of all time reads). Since I like contemporary novels and really do enjoy first-person narratives, I was happy to see Morsi give this a go. And I wasn't disappointed. I very much enjoyed this foray into Jane's mixed up world, and every much enjoyed Pamela Morsi's foray into contemporary women's fiction. Although there is romance in the book, I would definitely call this book women's fiction as the romance isn't the main focus. Would appeal to fans of Jennifer Crusie, Millie Criswell - both of whom use comedic relief and a great turn of phrase to entertain as well as tell a good story, but think readers who enjoy books by mainstream women's fiction authors such as Barbara Delinsky, Jane Heller, and others will also enjoy DOING GOOD.

Summary: Doing Good.....zzzzzzz....huh?...I'm sorry.
Review: I don't think I have ever disliked so many characters in one book...hmmm...like...well...there are so many I don't know where to start. Let's see, there is the self-involved Jane Loften who is struggling to keep a promise to God that she made in desperation; David Loften, her husband and prolific adulterer; Brynn Lofton, the self-involved daughter...who reverently spews and believes the unsolicited opinions a therapist makes about her family,as if they are words from God. I could go on and on. The only redeeming character is Chester, a wordly rescuer. Well, I have to be honest; I don't know if he is the only redeeming character...I couldn't make it through half the book to find anymore.

I feel I am Doing Good, because I spent my money on a paperback and not a hardcover.

Summary: slow and not as moving as the title implies
Review: I found this book to be quite boring. There isn't very much happening throughout. I was looking for an inspirational moment or something to counteract the slow pace, but was hard pressed to find one.

Review: I guess I expected more, after taking someones own comments into consideration. It was a pleasant story, but pretty predictable.

Summary: Skeptical at first
Review: I love Pamela Morsi books and was skeptical about an contemporary novel. I loved it. The transformation of the main character is fascinating to witness. She goes from a self-centered snob to a caring, giving, thoughtful person. It's interesting to see how the people in her life react to the changes she is experiencing. This book is really a good read.
