Summary: Wonderful light warm romance
Review: It finally dawned on me why I like Liz Fielding so much and who her writing reminds me of- her very slice of life stories with women making their way in the world with and without a lot of support- but with heart and feeling and a smile- well the style that Liz Fielding uses blending gentle humor with gradual growing feelings is reminiscent of Lass Small. Like Lass- you either love Liz or don't get her. I love her gentle humor and the ability of the heroines to embrace their own imperfections.

This book is wonderful- I love Nick as the hunky guy who comes to clear out the run down gardens next door and the way Stacey resists his charms. She had a hunky husband who was good for nothing- who died and left her with two little girls, a falling down house and no security. It takes Nick to get her to warm to him and prove he is real and stable and not just the laborer she perceives him to be. The family scenes in this are light and very real. Her kids Clover and Primrose are funny but not obnoxious- and she is a sensitive mum who does not want their hearts broken by Nick any more than her own. How he overcomes his own fears to believe in love makes for a nice read.

Summary: I Love Liz's books!
Review: This woman really knows where the key to my heart is when it comes to writing romance. Real people that tug at life's everyday emotions. Very enjoyable read.
