Rating: Summary: Fabulous! Review: A severe thunderstorm transported accountant Casey O'Reilly back to 1878 Santa Fe where she encountered Luke d'Seraphin, a mysterious, handsome stranger. He may have been the answer to her hopes and dreams, but Casey had to wonder. Would she ever want to go back to the year 2000 and back to her dead end job counting bars of soap? This poignant, sensual novel shows a lot of depth and balance. Once again Constance O'Day Flannery shows why she's the reigning queen of time travel romances. The words she writes are words to live by and for, whether it be 1878 or 2000. Fabulous!
Rating: Summary: Seriously loved it! Review: After I started reading this book "Heaven on Earth by Constance O'Day Flannery, I just couldn't put it down. Every pages filled with excitment and adventure. I like the message that the author had given us that we all have our own destiny like Luke and Casey. They're destined to meet but the odd is that they met in a strange situation--"time traveling". The only confusing part of this book in my opinion is that the author wrote too much about science and new age stuff. Even though, she tried to explain them as simple as possible but still...science is hard to understand. Especially about time traveling that includes an explanation about atoms and such. But overall, I recommend this book for it was not at all as boring as it seems.

Rating: Summary: The "queen of time-travel romances" pens a good one Review: Casey O'Reilly is driving from Albuquerque to Santa Fe to visit her sister when lightning hits her. When she awakens, Luc d'Seraphin helps her reach Santa Fe. However, instead of the year being 2000, it is 1878. Casey rejects the concept of time travel although the visible evidence proves she is not in 2000. Luke explains he is a veteran traveler and tries to guide her until she accepts the pattern that is unfolding and learns to trusts in herself.Over the next ten days, Casey falls in love with Luke and begins to more than just trust herself. She trusts Luke. He, to his shock, reciprocates her feelings, but refuses to act on it for her sake. However, she finally persuades him to make love. As the time to leave for home occurs, a pregnant Casey and Luke are separated, but she has all the time in the world while waiting for his return to her. While underscored by a warm romance, this tale centers on an interesting, unique plot that provides depth to the complexities of time travel. The story line is action packed while imparting much insight into the late 1870s Hispanic-American culture. The lead couple is a dynamic team that makes time travel seems like a genuine part of physics. Constance O'Day-Flannery makes her time travel novels read like HEAVEN ON EARTH to sub-genre fans. Rating: Summary: Heavy on New Age themes Review: Constance O'Day-Flannery knows how to write an excellent time travel. The premise of Heaven on Earth--time travel with a hunk of an "angel"--is enough to give the reader delicious shivers. However, the story gets bogged down in the preaching of New Age themes (even if the hero does claim they are timeless truths). This book will either speak to the reader, or make her roll her eyes. She'll have to determine that for herself.

Rating: Summary: Heaven On Earth Review: Great time travel story, however, unlike Ms. O'Day Flannery's other books, a little drawn out. Spanish culture was a good change of pace tho. This was a book you could put down and not be overly anxious to pick up, unfortunately.
Rating: Summary: Not The Best... Review: Heaven On Earth had an interesting premise, certainly different than the usual time travel romances. The fact that both Luke and Casey were time travellers was a wonderful basis for the book, however, a few things made the story dull and lacking in spark. The hero, Luke, was very hard to identify with and seemed distant. His character wasn't explored enough and left me with many unanswered questions. His physical description was also lacking. He talked a lot about New Age concepts but wasn't clear enough on what exactly he did and why he did it. Too vague in his explanation of why he was time traveling. Casey was a great character and she was written well. But I felt almost as if she was more concerned with having a child than with being in love with Luke. The descriptions of New Mexico and of the customs were excellent. It made for a wonderful setting for Heaven On Earth, but the lack of good characters made the story hard to get through no matter how well the setting was painted out. It was a book that you would either love in the first twenty pages or hate by the beginning of the first chapter.
