Rating: 4 stars
Summary: hot yet humorous contemporary romance
Review: Los Angeles resident Liza Sanguinetti needs to get away from Hollywood so the public relations guru uses the excuse of her only friend's wedding in Wyoming to flee the big city. However, instead of returning home Liza drives to Santa Fe and based on a brochure continues on to Canyon Springs, New Mexico. Her first sight in the small town is the butt of Sheriff Dylan Jackson up a tree trying to coax a bird to come down to him, but Mango the Cockatoo will not cooperate. When they finally get the bird down, his mother and Fire Marshall Tucker arrive.

Liza decides to hang around town a bit longer as she enjoyed the bird incident and its aftermath with Dylan and his mom. Rather quickly, the townsfolk adopt Liza as one of them, making this the first time she feels she has found a home. However, whether she stays resides within the heart of the town's sheriff as Liza and Dylan fall in love while competing for whom will dominate the bedroom.

HIS PRIVATE PLEASURE is a hot contemporary romance that blends exciting sex with a humorous romance. Though the complexities of their relationship is too easily surmounted through Dylan's experience as a former Vegas cop and her willingness to forego her Hollywood job as she was "Searching for a Rainbow" and found a new life providing PR services to the locals. Still the lead couple is a dynamic pair and his mother, her bird, and Marshall Tucker add humor that turn Donna Kauffman's latest novel into a terrific torrid tale.
