Rating: Summary: Margaret - Melbourne Australia Review: A great book! However, I found it amazing to read the first reviewer who gave it such a low score - did we read the same book? I normally prefer to read murder/suspense novels but thought I would give this one a go - take my word for it, if you want to have an enjoyable read, don't go past this one.
Rating: Summary: Fantastic read!!! Review: After reading most of the books by the mainstream authors (i.e., Garwood, McNaught, Roberts, Howard, etc.), I found it difficult to get a really good book to read--I mean, a book that's impossible to put down until you've finished reading it. So, I took a chance on Baxter, chose "A Day in April" b/c of the interesting synopsis and the constant 5-star rating by others, and this book is worth paying $6. This book is too interesting to skim and memorable that you'd want to read this again (after a reprieve, of course).
Rating: Summary: I think this is one of the best books that I have ever read! Review: I absolutality loved this books. At times I wanted to cry, kill the father, and strangle her brother, but most of all I wanted to comfort her.
Rating: Summary: Beautifully written, wonderful, touching Review: I discovered Mary Lynn Baxter's books last year and I have to tell you that I have not been disappointed yet. I happened to be in the store a few days ago and saw this book and I got it because it sounded interesting. Then I went away for the week-end and I took it along and I was hoping I would get a few minutes to read it. I picked it up Saturday night and could not put it down. It was so great, I cried almost through the whole book. It was so tragic, so touching that I could not believe that I would be so moved by this book. I did not want to put it down, it was so wonderful....This is one book that I will read over and over again and have plenty of hankies while I am reading it.
Rating: Summary: Margaret - Melbourne Australia Review: Reading this book had to be the most painful, gut-wrenching experience of my life. The tragedies and sorrows just kept coming and coming! I mean, I don't need for the books I read to be all sweetness and light, but this was ridiculous. It seemed to be a test of how much misery one human being can endure before they give up and/or kill themselves. True, the romance was there, and it was powerful, but - jeesh!!So, to sum up, if you're an avid reader of depressing Oprah-recommended fare and tragedy in general, this book is all for you. As for me and my reading buddies, we're saying, AAHHHH!! and running the other way. Fast.

Rating: Summary: An amazing book Review: This is, without a doubt, the best contemporary romance I have ever read. And believe me I have read A LOT-- like 50-100. Its a beautiful and magificent book that keeps you reading and (thought I am embarressed to admit it) brought tears to my eyes. Unbelievable and masterful, I doubt I will ever read a modern romance which can hold a candle to this one. READ IT!
