Rating: Summary: Exquisite!, Review: The set-up of this book is too cute. Our heroine, Erin gets a phone call one night from a man she thinks is her brother. Our hero has a cold and they are joking just like old times before they realize who is really on the other end. When they make the discovery they decide to run with it a bit. There is safety in both strangers and distance and these two need a bit of string-free affection in their lives. Of course, romance being what it is... things stay neither simple, nor distant for long and it's interesting to see how these two deal with their insecurities. They are both defensive, but a willingness to work on their problems isn't enough to solve them. They had to grow, change and trust again and it's the work they put into this process that makes this book a keeper.

Rating: Summary: Exquisite!, Review: This is the love story I have waited for! Intelligent, articulate, graceful, and with romance that doesn't depend solely upon sex for expression, "Hotline" deserves all of the praise I've seen and heard about it. One word of warning... watch your copy... this one is definitely a keeper! You will hear echoes of friends, family, and self as you turn these pages. As much fun as this story is, it still delivers some very solid punches that you will (I promise) need to re-read. Even my Kappa Alpha Psi hubby has read this one twice and is recommending it to his frat brothers! BET, if you're listening, this one NEEDS to be on your list for movie-making. Hear me? It NEEDS to be on the 'A' list! Gina Wilkens hit all right buttons and said all the right words in this story of a wrong number telephone call. This story is so neatly and elegantly written that there is almost no way to just tell someone about it. So take a tip from someone who has read this line from the very beginning, Harlequin has something very special in Gina Wilkins and we are just blessed to share it. can't help but wonder if this writer is as people-friendly as her writing is. She comes across with the kind of warmth, wit, and humor every one of us wants in a BEST friend. In "Hotline", this writer asks the kind of questions we all want answers to. She tells the kind of jokes we all want to have in our personal repertoire. She gives us the kind of options we would reserve for ourselves if life allowed us to do it all over again, with the advantage of hindsight. Her characters make us smile, cry, laugh out loud, and then look for the ones we love -- just because. To give this book only five stars is a travesty! It deserves a star for every one of the smiles and thoughts it brings to its' satisfied readers. Come on Gina, give us more, more, more! BUY THIS BOOK!! BUY THIS BOOK!! BUY THIS BOOK!!, Gina Wilkins has a gift for writing character-driven stories filled with passion and realism. The heroine is recognizable . She's probably your sister, best friend, coworker. As for the hero, is....oohhhh god! He's what every woman dreams for, wishes for, looks for! This book is so lyrical and touching and soul-deep romantic. I've read every Harlequin in print, and I can honestly say that this is the best! Definitely a keeperFor an athlete, a personal best is when she beats her own best time, or effort. For Gina Wilkins "Hotline" is her personal best. She's outdone herself! All her previous titles have been wonderful. I know, because I've read every one of them. Hotline surpasses wonderful and moves on to the sublime. All of her characters are richly drawn. This is the sort of story that pulls you in and wraps you in its seductive embrace. Not a word is wasted. Every expression is beautifully wrought and expertly executed. Hotline made me laugh and cry.A wonderful book, full of passion and tenderness. Once again, Ms. Wilkins has shown that she has a flair with words and characterization, and can leave you dreaming about her wonderful characters for days after you have read her super books. I am forced to say that I am impressed by this writer's sublime command of her characters and her storyI absolutely fall in love with this book. Ms Wilkins has opened my eyes to the talent that so many people have said she has!
