Rating: Summary: A Great Western Romance Review: Since I am new to Ms. Betts I was not familiar with her other characters that showed up in the delightful tale but I plan on changing that! This was a fast paced romance that was hard to put down. Hannah and David "Walker" have a past together. As children they lived in a orphanage and David was Hannah's protector. He looked out for her even after he was adopted by a local family. This story picks up where "Walker's Widow" left off. David is back and he has brought his nephew to Hannah who is now all grown-up and the town teacher. He is taking a chance since he is a half breed and his nephew is a full blooded comanche boy. It would not look good for her to be keeping company with a man especially a half-breed. Hannah does not see David as a half-anything. He is the man that as a boy looked out for her. He is also the only one that she has ever loved. This was a great book. I loved getting to know the characters. It was fun reading about these two people getting to know each other again, and falling in love again with each other. I did not feel that I had missed out by not reading any of the other stories by this talented author and that the story stood alone as it was. A great way to pass an afternoon!
