Rating: Summary: one very good book Review: could not put it down is there a sequel i hope so if not she should write one if there is a sequel please let me know
Rating: Summary: CAUGHT AND HELD MY ATTENTION AND COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN Review: ENCHANTING WAS WELL WRITTEN. THE BOOK CAUGHT AND HELD A PERSONS ATTENTION. I GAVE IT TO MY DAUGHTER WHO READ IT AND SHE LOVED IT. THIS IS FROM A PERSON WHO WOULDN'T NORMAL READ THIS TYPE OF BOOK
Rating: Summary: Not the best of Ms. Green. Review: Having recently finished reading the Terrilian series (which was riveting), I was disappointed with this book. Perhaps if I had read it first, I wouldn't feel this way. Of course, it is a lighter romantic fantasy, but just not what I had come to expect from Ms. Green. I had trouble finishing the book.
Rating: Summary: Enchanting is Ms. Green's Best Romance Review: I have been reading Ms. Green's books as fast as she puts them out for a good ten years now (I started reading her just after the first three in her futuristic Terrilian series were published.) Of the romances she has written, Enchanting is by far my favorite! The plot is very light and satisfying. It works as an excellent lampooning of the typical fantasy story. The lead male character is the most realistic I've seen from Ms. Green, and one of the best male leads in any fantasy series I have ever read. He makes sense and is a realistic guy in sword and loincloth-- that is certainly not an easy character to make work. The leading lady is as strong and compelling as all of Ms. Green's leading ladies. If you are just catching on to Sharon Green, kick yourself for missing the Terrilian and Jalav series, they are spectacular (sometimes you can pick them up at a used bookstore, but very rarely these days)-- and don't miss the Convergeance series that is in progress now-- it is going on strong. You can find the two published Convergeance books in the fantasy section here at Amazon or the sci fi section of your local bookstore. I wish Ms. Green would write some more romances, but I wouldn't trade the Convergeance books to get them. Enchanting is a great buy-- Enjoy
Rating: Summary: A great combination of fantasy and romance Review: I've read most of Sharon Green's novels, and found this book to be one of her best. She deftly combines elements of fantasy and romance into a mixture everyone can enjoy. Unlike some of her earlier romance fiction, these characters and plots are more complex, and the situations are often comical. Should she write a sequel, I would be first in line to buy it!
