Daisy Collingsworth's is in debt, so she must turn over the control of the family's Kentucky horse farm to Count Dante Galván. He is ruthless in business and demands Daisy move to his ranch in the land of his birth as part of the deal that will settle the debt. Will she also have to repay the debt in his bed?

I love foreign heroes and this Argentina aristocrat is fantastic! IN DANTE'S DEBT is packed with sizzling passion, intense conflict, and will have you lusting for more from these sexy characters . Highly recommended!

Summary: Sell the ranch already!
Review: Back Cover description: Count Dante Galvan was ruthless. Though is broke Daisy's heart to hand over control of her family's horse farm to him, she had no alternative-she was in Dante's debt up to her ears!

Part of the deal included Daisy relocating to Dante's ranch in Argentina. Daisy knew she was far too ordinary to ever become the count's wife. But could she resist Dante's demands that she repay her dues in his bed?

Dante's character is OK, but I really didn't care for Daisy's. This is one of those female leads that rub you the wrong way just about every time she opens her mouth. Daisy's family owes a lot of money to Dante. I don't recall him demanding she repay him in bed, they just wind up there. She has a problem with her dad; Dante has a problem with his sister. This is the first Jane Porter book I've read. I'll try another to see if this is typical of her writing.

Summary: This book is a keeper
Review: Jane Porter's writing always packs an emotional punch and she takes it up a notch with In Dante's Debt. The intense read is filled with powerful drama, steamy sensuality and the lush Argentine background. Daisy is a heroine every reader cheers for while Dante is the epitome of our deepest fantasy. This story offers a passionate spin on a favorite theme while honoring the classic elements of a Harlequin Presents. In Dante's Debt has already found a permanent home on my keeper shelf.

Summary: Can't agree with the other reviewers!
Review: This book was so repetitive of all the formula romance plots, I just found it boring & plodded my way through it. I like Jane Porter's writing but the plot was just so typical-formula-romance, no surprises here, no suspense & not sensual enough. Blah, humbug.

Summary: Great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: This is the 1st. in a 5 book mini-series with the Galvan family. Count Dante Galvan is clearing up the mess his father Tino, has left. His company nearly bancrupt when Dante takes over. One of the business interests is the Collingwood's farm in Kentucky, which is also nearly bancrupt. Daisy is running the farm as well as she can, while also looking after her younger sister & father. Her father has Altizmers. Their fathers came to an arrangement over a horse breeding & now Dante is here to collect the half a million dollars she owes from it.

Dante takes Daisy back to Argentina to learn how to run the farm successfully. Dante has a hard time resisting Daisy. He has his young sister Ana to consider, who is always getting into trouble & running away. In the end Dante & Galvan give into the love they have for each other, even though Dante will not marry her.

Daisy returns home, alone & pregnant... What will Dante do when he finds out.

This is a great start to the series & I cant wait to read the next one Lararo's revenge. There is a lot of threads running through this book which will be revealed in the rest of the series & I for one can't wait. This is the 1st. in a 5 book mini-series with the Galvan family.
