Summary: Disappointing
Review: Should have listened to the last reviewer. I also had read Coughlin's Merely Married and thoroughly enjoyed it. This book--admittedly, her first effort--was not nearly as polished and frankly, I found the characters rather boring and found myself yawning throughout. I do look forward to seeing what Coughlin does with her next book--if she continues in the same vein as her last book, it's sure to be a keeper.

Review: This is my 1st book by Ms. Coughlin but it won't be the last. Overall a light, engaging read. A couple of complaints: 1)The 2ndary cast of characters had lots of unexplored potential. 2)The story was good enough on its own without adding the barely-skimmed subplot about Ariel's so-called virginity. (Either delve deeper or don't mention it! Puh-lease!)

Review: This was a wonderful read-- warm, funny, passionate & romantic. I just loved Lord Savage and can't understand why anyone else wouldn't. Ariel and Leon are three dimensional characters with great chemistry, and Ariel's intelligence & compassion shine through. Leon is not only darkly brooding, but funny and kind. I laughed out loud while reading this book. I love the fact that Ariel's past & the question of her "innocence" does not take up the entire book. I for one am tired of pure-as-the-driven-snow heroines and appreciate the fact that Ms. Coughlin addresses some of the double standards facing men and women of the period-- and of our own. I wrote this review because I could not believe some of the negative reviews of one of my favorite stories. For a more in-depth look at the plot, please read Tina's review.

Summary: I will look for more books by this author.
Review: This was the first time to read a book by Patricia Coughlin. Lord Savage included delightful characters and a storyline that did not grow stale. I love authors with a sense of humor and will definitely look for more books by Ms. Coughlin.
