Rating: Summary: Maybe In Another Lifetime Review: Alexandria Jones is on the verge of divorce and Gabriel Washington is engaged to be married one week after the two formally meet. The title suggests that Gabriel loves a married woman but there is so much more to this romance that I often was reminded of and hummed the old tune sung by Billy Paul, Me and Mrs. Jones. A chapter told through the voice of Gabriel's best friend prefaces the story. His voice is wanting and curious and leaves the reader with the same thoughts. Together, the reader and the best friend travel through the tale of Mrs. Jones and Gabriel. LOVIN' MRS. JONES is not your typical girl meets boy and they live happily ever after romance story. This story is different, heartfelt and captivating. The story explores more of the mind thus there are not many lustful scenes. But fear not, this is not a distraction and the beautiful poems included capture the true essence of the characters' feelings. Furthermore, Edward Dean Arnold skillfully employs the family members of the main characters into the storyline adding to the complete development and understanding of how they came to be and why. The conclusion of this story leaves the reader wondering about the future of Alexandria and Gabriel. I highly recommend this novel to romance enthusiasts and readers of other genres as well. You will be pleasantly surprised of what is offered. Reviewed by Dawn R. Reeves The RAWSISTAZ Reviewers
Rating: Summary: A journey you will be glad you took... Review: Coming from a male prospective I believe that this was an excellent book. I am an advid reader with some of my favorite authors being Eric Jerome Dickey, Marcus Major, Omar Tyree and Carl Weber to name a few. I must say that Eddie Arnold is now on the list. The love that was created between Gabriel and Alexandria proves that love comes when you least expect it and that God has a plan for all lovers. The two are trapped in different situations and Eddie unlocks their hearts in a chance meeting, first the highway and then at Ramona's to set a backdrop of romance and intrigue that eloquently ends back where it started. I look forward to more novels by this author and recommend this as a must read for anyone! So back to my original question, Can I give it another star?!

Rating: Summary: So there is something called "Black Love" Review: Edward Dean Arnold has gone against the norm of "Black Lust" and created a tasteful novel on "Black Love." Dean explores love, romance, and passion; forgotten aspects of the black experience. I applaud this author for having the literary prowess to write such a novel when the mainstream asks for stereotypes.
Rating: Summary: This Is A Story About True Love Without Lust Review: From start to finish I found it to be refreshing and new. An old fashion love story about the way I think people should fall in love. There is physical attraction between the two main characters Gabriel and Alex, but they fell in love because of who they are. A real spiritual connection. It's like they were destined to find each other. I never read until I'm in bed and I read the first half of the book in one night, which left me very sleepy and excited. I told everyone at work about it and admitted that I couldn't wait to get home to finish it. When I finally got off at midnight I put the petal to the metal, doing 80 on the expressway back to this book. After finishing it at around 2:30 in the AM I was left wanting more. While reading it I couldn't help but wish to be in Alex's shoes, because it was about real love and the kind we all dream about at some point in our lives. I laughed, I cried and I fell in love with love again. Thank You Mr Edward Dean Arnold. You are so very talented.
Rating: Summary: WOW! Review: From the first page to the last, my thoughts were WOW, and OH MY GOD! This book is wonderful and I do plan on reading Soul Disclosure. But in the meantime, let me say throughout the book, I got the sense that this story could somehow be something the author experienced in his own life. Whether he did or not, I know he put his heart and soul into it. It made me think of a love I lost because of a similar situation. I regret to this day that I didn't fight harder because we had a "soul mate" type of relationship just like Alex and Gabe. This story is so powerful and intense and at the same time, sad in some areas. I could feel Alex's pain in finding out she had been betrayed by her husband Lionel, and I could also feel the passion between Alex and Gabe, as they realized the only thing that was important was that the other was happy in spite of the circumstances. As I sit at my computer contemplating what to submit as a review for the book, I am still moved by everything I have read. It is so nice to read a love story by a Christian author, and so refreshing to read something that can be so passionate and fulfilling without having profanity or explicit sex to get the point across. The story is about two successful people who fall in love with each other even though the man is engaged to someone else and the woman is married to someone else. What would you do when you met the love of your life and you were obligated to someone else? For readers of this review, all I can say is, GET THE BOOK! To Mr. Arnold: Thank you, thank you, thank you, for an awesome piece of work. I look forward to other projects from you. This book definitely earned ***** stars![...]
Rating: Summary: An engrossing love story that captured my heart. Review: I feel especially privileged to review this new book because as an aspiring writer myself, it is crucial to get the word out about a worthwhile reading experience. Fortunately for me, there was a preview of Mr. Arnold's new novel online and I was very eager to read it. I was hooked!! After reading a little of this lovely and expertly told love story, I actually tried to save the book by not reading it too fast. Yes, I would read so much a day on my way to work on the bus and on my way home. But let me get into why I loved this novel. It is a wonderul accounting of how being in the right place at the right time, one can encounter exactly what one needs at that moment. Perhaps being a spiritual person myself, I could relate to the main characters in the book and realize that when God has a plan, there is never any getting away from that. Here were two strangers, a man and woman both involved in their respective relationships and by chance, they meet, fall in love and experience all the knowing of each other, the humor and bonding and empathy with another human being which was quite extraddiordinary. As an African American female, my heart simply soared as I read a love story that had strong characters, responsible young people who had and were achieving what is known for many as the American dream. No drugs, no guns, no violence, just decent human beings dealing with their circumstances in a way that made me proud. I say that because they had all the trimming of what success is--the luxurious cars, the high-paying jobs, the expensive apartments or home, ambition, and respectability. But in all of that, you find these strong characters who were human and vulnerable and they found each other. I simply loved getting to know them and their struggle with their new found love and the consequences that surrounded the love, but regardless of all of that, Mr. Arnold wrote a beautiful love story that I became an inside character to and found the most comfortable place to be for the short time I spent reading his book. Bravo to you Mr. Arnold for a first-novel that has it all--love, suspense in not knowing how it will all end, warmth, humor, continuity, excitement, sadness, spirituality, betrayal, lust, but the most important ingrediant in a romance novel---LOVE. Read this book. You won't be disappointed because it will make you thirst for the next page as I did.
Rating: Summary: A journey you will be glad you took... Review: I have never been so moved by a work of fiction. The author writes at a level that will engage your mind and your heart. He does not resort to the well worn cliches of some writers. I really connected with the main characters. The novel encompasses romance without vulgarity, hope without sappiness, spirituality without preachiness and most of all, intelligence without arrogance. I thoroughly enjoyed the read and plan to recommend it to all of my friends. I eagerly await the next offering from Edward Dean Arnold. It is a "must read" for anyone who has ever been in love or hopes to be...
Rating: Summary: A Must Read Review: I have to say that Lovin' Mrs. Jones is one of the best love stories that I've ever read. It keeps your attention from the start to the finish. It so captivating that you will not want to put the book down. The characters are so real, that you can identify with them and it's as if you're right in the story with them. Lovin' Mrs. Jones is a good clean book, a love story that tells the story of two people who just 'happen' to meet. It could happen to anyone and that's what this story lets us know. I would recommend this book highly that loves to be captivated and loves to read. It's a "can't put down" type of novel. My hat goes off to the arthur and I appreciate his creativity.
Rating: Summary: Why Lovin' Mrs. Jones was so easy Review: I just wanted to inform all that this book was excellent!!. I havent read a book with such honest feeling in a very long time. The preface of the book alone was enough to bring me to tears (which I forced myself to hold back)it was so interesting that I could not put it down and I actually read the book in one day. The love felt by Gabriel and Alex was a very special kind of love that we all wish for in life and the way Mr. Arnold put it in writing was beautiful, and I greatly appreciated where the book took me and my heart.
