Rating: Summary: Fantastic Read! Review: Tracy Fobes has become an auto-buy for me and with her latest release, FORBIDDEN GARDEN, she secures her place in my private library. Michael and Anne's love story is captivating. Add in the paranormal twist, and you end up with an incredible book. I read it in one sitting! My only problem now is waiting until her next book, DAUGHTER OF DESTINY, is published.
Rating: Summary: Allow your curiousity free reign Review: Tracy Fobes weaves an intriguing tale of romantica, science and suspense. As the reader gets deeper and deeper into the story our curiousity builds to mammoth proportions and Fobes does not dissappoint.
Rating: Summary: A Refreshing Change Review: What I liked most about Forbidden Garden is its uniqueness. Forget the grand balls and recycled text describing how everyone is dressed, Forbidden Garden delivers an Irish funeral, complete with a potato fight and a corpse that sits up. No tried and true plot here, Forbidden Garden is unique and loaded with conflict. Admitting their love for each other was as difficult as admitting their employer, someone they both admired and respected, had changed, putting science (and himself) before humanity. If you're reading the recent headlines regarding genetically engineered foods, you'll see this plot is not that far fetched. You can see and feel the changes in Anne, Michael, and Lord Connock, as the story unfolds. Balancing a plot that sees Anne and Michael uncovering how Lord Connock has overstepped the boundaries of science and nature, with a romance that sees them denying, then confessing their love for each other, sets this book apart from others I've recently read. I was as happy to see Michael and Anne come together, as I was to see the villain pay for the mistakes he created. If you like a romance that steps outside the standard romance box, you'll love Forbidden Garden.
