Summary: Loved It !!
Review: A pregnant Emily left her husband, Duarte de Monteiro back in Portugal. The reason was because "a friend" told her that after she gives birth to her child, Duarte would take the child away from her. But now Duarte has found Emily and he doesn't plan to let go either his wife nor his son, Jamie and yet he's still angry at her for leaving him. Other factors also play into the problem of their marriage. There was also that "friend" who secretly added poison into their marriage, before their separation. But besides the friend, their relationship have never been the best because Emily was too scared to do anything like standing up for herself. It was only after she came back that she started making some changes. Although Emily has changed and became stronger, is she strong enough to go up against that friend, who has little by little broken up her marriage?

I think DUARTE'S CHILD is the best book written by Lynne Graham because although she shows that Emily is the "weak" type, she also shows Emily with some sparks of anger and defiance, which keeps the story rolling. I liked Duarte a lot because he showed a lot of human characteristics. Duarte would act really macho and strong but when he made mistakes, he showed that he was really sorry and he tries to make up for those mistakes. That is what I call human characteristics, the ability to show emotion.

I think DUARTE'S CHILD is a fabulous book and I bet Lynne Graham fans would definitely enjoy this one.

Summary: Duarte's Child
Review: I can't disagree more with the reader from Canada. I thought this book was excellent! The characters had real problems and overcame them with communication and real caring.

Duarte was insensitive at first, but he made up for it quickly. The heroine had had a tough life, but she didn't let Duarte push her around. He was stunned when she asked for a divorce and his instant fear of loosing her when he'd underestimated her was palpable.

Another super LG read. Lynne please don't ever stop writing!!

Summary: Lynne Graham delivers us a great romance story!
Review: I do not what the reader from Canada is talking about. This is a great romance story! We can depend on Lynne Graham to provide us a hot contemporary story where a dashing and powerful hero falls in love with a normal girl that recipocrates his feelings. However, marriage did not work for them because he grows apart and does not share his life and hopes with her and she is afraid of not being wanted or loved because her own family has never cared for her. I loved this story because they learned how to communicate and trust each other and overcome any obstacles for a future of happiness. If that is not romance I do not know what is!!

Summary: This was a great book!!
Review: I have to disagree with the reviewer in Canada. I thought this was a wonderful book. The characters were well developed and had an interesting conflict that was eventually overcome by communication and trust.

I loved how Duate's distrust of her was turned back on him and he learned a hard lesson. I sympathized with the heroine and enjoyed watching her become a stronger person throughout the story. They were great individuals, but the best thing was seeing how they became a strong unified couple. The ending was very believable and they deserved their HEA.
Bravo Lynne!

Review: I have to disagree with the reviewer in Canada.

This book was great! It had well developed characters, genuine conflict, and an excellent ending.

I loved watching the characters grow from being great individuals to a wonderful, united couple. They certainly deserved their happy ending.

Bravo Lynne!

Summary: One of Lynne's best!
Review: I really enjoyed this book. The character development throughout the entire story seemed very real. Both Emily and Duarte grew very much in the book. It was very satisfying to see how Duarte tried to compensate for the mistakes that he made in their marriage. The only part that I was not happy with was that he never apologizes to Emily for calling her a whore. I realize that sometimes actions speak louder than words and that by his actions, he was showing his love for her and how much he wanted their marriage to last. However, it would have been nice to actually have him apologize for calling her a whore and actually believing that she would do something like that.

Summary: FANTASTIC BOOK!
Review: This book is fantastic! The story is emotionally intense and heart-tugging. The hero is super gorgeous! Because of his disastrous first marriage, he fought his feelings for the heroine and kept his emotional distance (even though he greatly loved her). Because of this, he was really a lousy husband when they first got married. Once he realized that, his attempt to change and make up to her was so heart-tugging. I love him! I think he is Lynne's first Portuguese hero. The heroine is one of my favorite Lynne Graham heroine. The way her awful family treated her ever since she was born caused her to have really low self esteem and made her an easy target for people to walk on. But I love it that towards the end of the book she gained more confidence, and it was great when she stood up to the hero and her awful family. I love the idea that this gorgeous billionaire who can have his picks of women can fall hard for a very ordinary girl whom to him is gorgeous in every way and whom he can't keep his hands off. Great chemistry & sizzling love scenes!
