Rating: Summary: Disappointing Review: I am a huge Diana Palmer fan, and this is the first book I have read by her as Diana Blayne. I guess because I paid so much for it, I hyped it in my mind, and it failed to live up to my expectations. It is well written, but I am upset at how willingly Jolana goes to bed with another man after being so in love (and making love) with Nick. I know it had to happen fast for her to think the baby was her husband's, but it was still a shock to read that she was able to put Nick out of her heart and mind so easily. Not what I want in a keeper. Thank goodness for the resale market.
Rating: Summary: Disappointing Review: One of the best books by Diana Blayne (aka Diana Palmer). I found it full of emotions. A very touching story about disillusionment and finding the strength to move on.The blur on the back cover reads: "Walking on Fifth Avenue, savoring her success as an artist, Jolana Shannon's head was in the clouds. When she careened into Nick Scarpelli, she knew at once he wasn't the perfect stranger. What had changed her mind--blackmail? His irresistible virility? Surrender was sheer rapture--but a mistake. The arrogant publisher and art gallery owner had other plans. Even as Jolana fled to Paris; married; and traveled to Monaco, Nice, and Cannes, memories of Nick pursued her. Then, as quickly as he'd come into her life, her husband--along with the home and fortune he'd gambled away--were gone. Alone, Jolana dared not believe Nick when he swore he'd changed...when he insisted that Jolana--and the baby she carried-- were his...when he painted a glowing picture of the future they coulf share now--and forever."
