Summary: This romance provides a feeling of homecoming
Review: In San Antonio, Isabel Delgado knows that no one cares what happens to her. In spite being worth several million, Isabel realizes that her only hope to survive her spouse Eric's need for vengeance is to pretend she died when her vehicle crashes into the Claro River. Isabel has planned her death to the minutest detail, leaving a small fortune in Abilene to be picked up later. However, a witness sees Isabel's car plunge into the river, forcing a change of plans, especially when she realizes she somehow lost all the cash she was carrying.

Stranded in Crystal Creek, Isabel meets rancher Dan Gibson, who has three small children. His twelve-year old daughter finds a floating fifty-dollar bill. Isabel pleads with Dan to not reveal her whereabouts to anyone. He offers a plan to hide her IN PLAIN SIGHT while she helps him with his children. He wants them to marry one another. Desperate, Isabel agrees. As the couple becomes acquainted, they fall in love. However, Eric remains a threat and Dan believes that his beloved will return to her former life.

Fans of the Crystal Creek series will fully enjoy Margot Dalton's latest contemporary romance that brings back long time favorites. The story line is filled with action, romance, and angst as Isabel falls in love with Dan and his three children, who fully return the emotions. The audience will look forward to the next tale, CONSEQUENCES, and new readers will seek previous books from the decade old collection that makes visits to this part of Texas so much fun.

Summary: Hiding in plain sight
Review: Isabel Delgado has come up with a plan to get away from her abusive ex-husband. Her plan is to pretend to die when her car goes over a cliff and take her money and live in Canada. Unfortunitly her plan does not go as planned and she ends up scratched up and without any money.

Several days later she breaks into the house of Dan Gibbson and raides his refrigerator. He catches her, but instead of being mad at her cleans her up.

The next day he takes his three children to his Aunt and Uncles house and he and "Bella" as she wants to be known go to a bus stop where she put the things she would need to get away. Unfortunitly a man who worked at the bus station had found out about Isabel's "death" and her ex-husband (a cop named Eric) came to get the things.

Dan and Bella come up with a differnt plan though. They get married and while Bella is living with Dan she has to help do the housework and look after his children who are 12, 8, and 2.

The day after the wedding Dan brings his children home and his oldest is not happy especially when this sudden marriage makes her even more of target of Cody Pollocks harrasment that she had been.

During the next several months Dan and Bella find themselves falling in love with eachother and Bella finds herself falling in love with the children as well. Bella even helps her step-daughter with the harrassment by talking to the school principle who turns out to be Bella's long lost sister.

Several days after the meeting with the principle Bella goes to get her money out of her safe deposit box and this alerts Eric who put a private eye on the bank to her wherabouts. Later that afternoon Eric appears at the Gibbson home and almost kills Bella and Dan. However Dan uses his wits to save them and Eric walks off leaving Bella and Dan to live happily ever after
