Rating: Summary: Loved It!! Review: I've read all of Suzanne Forster's books and she just keeps getting better! I think this is the most suspensful book she's written to date. Jay and Sophie are wonderful and the intrigue and mystery in this one builds to a climax that knocked me out! The romance is wonderful, but telling too much here would spoil it! I HATE that <g>. Highly recommend!!
Rating: Summary: This is the only S. Forster book that has disappointed me. Review: In this book, Ms. Forster left plot holes large enough to drive a truck through. I got the feeling that she decided that the book was long enough, so let's just write a few sentences to connect any loose ends, and cash the royalty check. The characters remained flat and never had a chance to develop. I hope her next work returns to her previously excellent, captivating storytelling.
Rating: Summary: Dumb and gets dumber Review: Suzanne Forster was stretching when she wrote this book. A husband disappears and suddenly comes back several years later. The wife isn't sure if he is her husband or not. How does he have memories of her husband but then not. Who is this crazy man who breaks into house and looks just like her husband? Why is her husband's mother being secretive. This book does not make sense and the plot was weak. Don't waste your time.

Rating: Summary: Disappointing Resolution Review: The plot ascends through the entire story. One expects a far more convincing and thrilling resolution of the mystery "who is the man who is now Sophie's husband". However, one gets the feeling that author is tired of writing this book that she intended to be romantic but has turned out to be a wonderful mystery/suspense. So the ending is very sloppily pulled together. Although in retrospection it pulled together some loose seeds planted early in the book, it was unbelievable and lacks the intensity of the rest of the book. That made for a disappointing finale to a wonderful story.
Rating: Summary: I loved it , such a turn-on. Review: This book made me cry! I loved the steamy sex, I couldn't stop reading it, for a while my life stood still, I felt I was part of the story. My favorite character was Albert. Now back to my screaming kids and snoring beer-bellied husband. Gloria
Rating: Summary: Who cares about these people? Review: This book spent its entire length being almost interesting, almost compelling, almost enjoyable. Sophie was cardboard. The author kept hinting at how her past had affected her. There is a sentence on the last page which made a lot of Sophie's character make sense, but by then it was too late. The story idea was interesting, but the author was unable to make me care about any of the characters.
Rating: Summary: You will either Love it or Hate it Review: This is one book that readers will either love or hate. A husband dies in Nepal, yet returns 5 years later. His wife Sophie barely survived loosing him once can she take a chance again? And by the way -- who is trying to kill her? Those that love it will simmer in Jay and Sophie's romance the second time around. And be engrossed in the 2 secondary romances - one with an older couple and the other with a woman considering a lesbian relationship. And will try to figure out who done it. Those that hate it will find Sophie an weak character. She can not decide if it is or isn't her husband. So much for the DNA tests, finger prints and matching x-rays of a old childhood injury ... no Sophie feels that he has changed (guess 5 years in a POW camp might do that). No rather than try to help him fit back into society, Jay must convince her that he is really her husband. While parts of this book are strong and well written, the plot is too loosely woven and often doesn't even come close to making sense. My suggestion is to enjoy the romance and skip the endless pages that go nowhere.

Rating: Summary: The suspense nevers ends! Review: This Suzanne Forster book kept me guessing from beginning to end! Was he or wasn't he?? Everytime I thought I had it figured out, Suzanne through me another loop and it was back to square one. I especially ejoyed the way she developed Sophie. This is one of Forster's BEST efforts!
