Summary: Wonderful! Could not put it down. Definitely a must read.
Review: This book was just wonderful. The mystery surrounding the characters and the different plots added to the story. Donna Hill really outdid herself bringing everything together. It was an added bonus learning about a different culture. I found it very interesting reading about the Japanese culture and how it tied in with the story line.

I enjoyed it immensely and would like an update on Max and Reese in another storyline, perhaps with Chris, Valerie or Lynn. Are you planning on writing about them any time soon? Keep those stories coming.

Summary: So Many Secrets
Review: This is a great story as I see it, with so many secrets. I really enjoyed the mysteries and secrets . I found myself trying to count them all. I kept thinking there's enough secrets in this story to have written two books one being a sequel. However that certainly did not take away from the story I think Donna Hill does a great job with mysteries.

Summary: FABULOUS
Review: This is one of the best books I've read by Ms. Hill. The movie did not do it justice. And to the woman who wrote: "yuck, horrific writing" She must have been blind or reading the wrong book. The movie was good, but in no way compared to the depth of the story or the development of the characters and the complexity of it. That reviewer needs to go back to "review class 101"

Summary: The Dark Shadows of Love
Review: This novel was an excellent combination of mystery, suspense and romance. A well tied together story of a woman, Reese, and a man, Maxewell, whos lives unfold secrets that unlocks the lost memory of Reese and unites a son with his mother.

The myster behind the death of Reese's parents is revealed, giving her her memory back and brings to justice those responsible. Max is reunited with the mother that he thought was dead and learns about an ancestry that makes his life complete.

The novel kept me hanging on every word, reading at lightening speed to discover the true identy of Max and the secrets locked in the dark recesses of Reese's mind.

I'd recommend this book to those who aren't true romance fans but like a romantic undertone to a suspense filled mystery.

Summary: Intriguing
Review: This was one book that was really different from other romance novels. Ms. Hill really out did herself with the twists and twines of the story line. Everytime you thought you figured out what would happen next, the story takes on a new twist. I really enjoyed this story. I usually do not like mysteries, but this had just enough mystery to keep you on the edge. I would love to see a sequel to this book. I missed the movie, but I would love to see it.

Summary: Absolute Page Turner
Review: Where has this book been all my life? This is the first book that I've ever read by Ms.Hill and believe me, it will not be the last. I saw Intimate Betrayal on BET's Arabesque Nights and decided to read it. Boy, am I glad I did. The television show did not do it justice. Reese and Maxwell are people regular people, not people larger than life. There were several stories interwoven with the main story. The supporting characters enhanced the main characters by allowing us to look into the past without losing track of the present. I loved this book. It was one of the best books I've ever read. Reading it made me nervous. I just couldn't seem to read it fast enough. I plan to read every novel that I can find by Donna Hill. Thanks again, Ms. Hill for a truly wonderful book.
