Summary: A Story with a lot of depth
Review: From the Back

Maddy had agreed to meet her-Husband by arrangement--but she had no intention of marrying him! Her plan was to pretend to be the very opposite of a suitable wife!

Millionaire tycoon Dex Fitzgerald was relieved to meet Maddy--no one would make him marry this! But they couldn't hide the attraction that sizzled between them...A night of searing passion was inevitable, and when it happened would Dex discover the real Maddy--the one he'd want to make his bride...?

If you are looking for a light hearted romp this is NOT the book for you this book has more depth and sorrow then any PRESENTS I have read in a while. That is not to say it's not worth the read it's just darker then most.

Dex and Maddy's lives are intertwined with disappointments and sorrows. There families once close no longer speak and because of the deaths of their parents (all four die at the same time) Dex and Maddy go separate ways early in life.

When they meet again both are out to deceive the other into NOT getting married. There is nothing in this story that made me believe it would be in the WEDLOCK series.

Maddy is truly a great heroine though a little too meek for my liking, she does by the end find her inner strength through her antics. And Dex who through despair has shut himself off finally opens up because of Maddy.

Happy ending all around.
