Rating: Summary: Soap Opera Delight Review: Abby Sawyer was once a beloved actress who is now stricken with Parkinson Disease. The medication she takes often clouds and confuses her mind to the point she can't separate fact from fantasy. She is deathly afraid someone is trying to kill her daughter, soap opera actress Jennifer Connolly. She calls on her stepson, ex-marine now actor, Conar Markham to come home and protect Jennifer. Trying to cover up the reason he has come home, Conar accepts a part on the soap opera in which Jennifer appears. Jennifer has always resented sharing her mother's affections with Conar and doesn't want him anywhere near, especially starring on her soap opera and making twice the money as the other actors.Conar credits Abby for giving him a direction in life and providing a home life for even after his father and Abby divorced. He comes home just as a series of grisly murders start taking place. Murders that seem to resemble scenes from famous movies. I spent Sunday afternoon reading this book. It's entertaining but it also has its flaws. I really like the hero, Conar. He is strong and protective of those he loves. He doesn't take flak from anyone. However, I didn't really care for the heroine, Jennifer. I thought she was whiny to the point it almost took away from the story. The cast of characters in this book is almost overwhelming. I found myself having trouble keeping up with who was whom. This story does have one of the best endings as far as who the bad guy is that I've read in a while. This isn't the best by Ms. Graham, nor is it the worse. It's worth the money just to have an entertaining story to read.
Rating: Summary: Graham Grabs You! Review: Heather Graham grabs you & doesn't let go! In this romantic thriller, Jennifer Connolly is a soap star amongst the flashy backdrop of Hollywood. She is also privy to a series of Hitchcock style murders that just may include herself. I could tell you all about her sexy co-star Conar....but, I'll let you experience him on your own. "Long, Lean, and Lethal" is one summer read not to miss! if you find my comments interesting, please click the "yes"--thanks--CDS
Rating: Summary: snap, crackle and pop Review: Heather Graham's books snap, crackle and pop with energy and red-hot romance. Though fairly predictable, I really liked the intermingling of fantasy and reality of her latest book, LONG, LEAN and LETHAL. Set in the world daytime soaps, the fantasy of the show begins to entwine with the mundane (and sometimes deadly) world of reality. I immediately fell in love with the concept - not to mention the leading man. And I also enjoyed the strength and attitude of the heroine. Witty, charming and full of dramatic energy, it's a great escape book - watch it when you are in need for your "soap fix" for the day.
Rating: Summary: Disappointing Review: I am a first time reader of Heather Graham and will not be ordering another of her books. The heroine was unlikable and I just couldn't get into the love story. How could he love such a shrew? This story would be better suited to a Harlequinn Romance instead of a novel.
Rating: Summary: disappointed Review: I ordered this book in advance because I enjoyed Drop Dead Gorgeous and Tall, Dark and Deadly so much. I really couldn't wait until to read this book because I assumed it would be just as suspenseful and page-turning. I just felt this book was very slow-moving and I just wanted to be done with it. I really didn't get attached with any of the characters and the story line just seemed too predictable.
Rating: Summary: Disagree with bad reviews Review: I will agree that her other 2 novels, "Tall Dark and Deadly" and "Drop Dead Gorgeous" were a bit more intense. However, In my opinion this was a great novel. Strong characters and great love story with a major twist. I had no clue who the murderer was. Great buy!!

Rating: Summary: Hideous heroine...silly storyline...dumb dialogue Review: I've never written an Amazon review before and normally wouldn't take the time to do so, but this book was so bad that I feel compelled to warn others not to spend the $ on it. The heroine was a whiny, immature brat that you could never quite like and there were so many characters that you couldn't warm to any of them. The storyline was hokey. The dialogue was so stilted and unrealistic that I nearly didn't finish to book--and now I wish I hadn't bothered. This book is so different in quality from her previous books that either she pounded it out in two days to meet her publisher's deadline or she was possessed by a "bad writer" demon during its creation. I guess we'll never know...
Rating: Summary: Another winner by Heather Graham! Review: If have never read a Heather Graham mystery/romance book, then you are really missing out! I love her writing style, it's the perfect mix of suspense and mystery with a dash of romance thrown in for fun! This book, the first of a trilogy, takes place on the set of Valentine Valley, a popular day time soap. Jennifer Connolly has become a daytime diva almost overnight, but somewhere in the background a killer is stalking the show. He's killing his victims with refrence to Hitchcock movies and, of course almost every character in this book likes Hitchcock! Aside from the killings, this book also has several sub plots. Jennifer has fallen hard for her co-star, Conor Markham and also has to deal with her mother's failing health. My only complaint is how immature these characters acted at times! Getting into fights and then slamming doors and stomping off down the hallway, for example. It reminds me of how I acted as a teenager, trying to irk my mom, not as an adult! Over all, this was a really fun, quick read though. I liked it so much that after I finished it, I immediately started reading Dying to Have Her.
