Rating: Summary: Confusing! Review: One of the things I have always loved about Anne Mather is her ability to make a book flow easily, for the reader to sit back and relax and enjoy reading her books without ending up with a headache. This book was big headache. The thing I like most about reading romance novels is that I can escape into a world of fantasy, love, passion and humour. This book had none of these qualities. The plot stunk! I still can't figure out why Jake took his brother's place on the flight when Jake knew that Nathan was a selfish pig. Putting aside the fact that Nathan was a dirtbag, it still doesn"t make any sense.Nathan asks his twin brother to take his place on a flight to England to deliver some drugs for him because he's a crook and owes someone some money. He's scared for his life because of the money he owes (I think he owes money - I'm still not sure what the whole story was about!) so he asks his identical twin brother whom he hates to take his place (using Nathan's passport) to make the delivery, so, I think, that if Jake gets caught with the drugs he will go to jail instead of Nathan. I'ts even hard trying to explain!!!! He doesn't give Jake a reason why he wants him to take his place. He justs asks Jake and Jake says yes. As if!!!! Jake doesn't like his brother so why would he risk his life for him?????? The plot, to say the least, had some major flaws.I'm so disappointed in Anne Mather. I have always expected so much from her writing, which, until now has always been passionate, heartwarming and realistic. But, I suppose, every writer can have a bad day so I'm willing to give her another chance. My favourite Anne Mather book was "Act of Possession" - do yourself a favour and read it - it's great.
Rating: Summary: Engrossing modern romance Review: This was my first Anne Mather book. I enjoy her easy to read style of writing. I truly cared as each page turned what happened to the main characters. The basic plotline is about a plane crash survivor with amnesia who finds himself falling in love with his brother's wife. The romance that develops between Jake and Caitlin is so engrossing, I found myself turning through page after page until the book was done. I look forward to reading more books by this author.
