Summary: Nice Read
Review: I enjoyed reading this book but I must admit, I found it to be a little to predictable.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: THIS ONE'S A TREASURE!
Review: My lucky stars must have been shining the day I chanced upon this book. I was almost misled into passing this one by due to the unexciting blurb featured and I usually avoid reading about married women or widows. To my delight and surprise, Dream Catcher turned out to be such a pleasure to read that I haven't finished thanking my lucky stars yet.

Duped by her stepmother who wanted to get rid of her, Rachel Rose Robinson was married by proxy to her stepmom's relation, a cruel and evil man. Upon arriving at the new frontier to be with her new husband, Rachel Rose escaped consummation of her marriage to her brutal husband and embarked on her adventure in rugged wild Indian country and to her destiny of true love.

From the onset until the conclusion, there's not a moment of dullness and the dialogue is particularly witty and creative especially on the part of the heroine, Rachel Rose Robinson, dubbed Little Red Fawn by the Cheyenne tribe whom she found refuge with.

DREAM CATCHER is a treasure to read all over again! Highly Recommended!

Summary: A mixed reaction
Review: This was the first novel I have read by this author, and I will try others because I liked many things about it. The characters were compelling, the storyline maintained my interest all the way through, and the romance was both funny and sensual. I would have given the book 5 stars, but for the fact that I hated almost every single sentence uttered by the heroine, Rachel. She hails from Kentucky, and KH gave her the most extreme hillbilly speech pattern I have ever encountered in fiction. Direct quote: "Jumpin' Jehoshaphat! A body could use some warnin' 'fore she goes a-gallopin' lickety-split 'cross the countryside, barely hangin' on by the skin of her teeth. Next time, tell me afore you take off like a scalded dog." And often, it's even worse. Meanwhile, the hero speaks polite, dignified English and it makes one wonder how he can stand to listen to her. Honestly, it pained me to read Rachel's dialog, so instead of being able to sink into the rhythm of the writing I kept being jarred by her language. I will not be re-reading this one, dispite liking so many other aspects of the book. I truly hope I will not find this problem with KH's other works.

Summary: Nice Read
Review: What a delightful story line. The characters are truly colorful and exciting. This has to be one of the better books I've read. Red head, Rachel, is such a funny and true to life character. Strong Elk, what a hero. Always there, defending character who speaks several languages, can read English. I truly recommend reading this book. Kathleen Harrington is a gifted writer.
