Summary: This author is one of category romance's best
Review: Tory divorced the physically and mentally abusive Bruce, but her obsessive former husband refused to let her go. To insure she belongs to know one but him, Bruce kills Tory. Knowing that if Bruce learns he killed the wrong Evans he will come after her, a guilt wracked, grieving Tory adopts Christine's identity and heads to Shelter Valley, Arizona to teach English at Montford University.Ben Sanders arrives at Shelter Valley seeking to start over after a bitter divorce with his former wife who claims their child, who Ben loves, is not biologically his. Ben looks forward to finally starting college though it is eight years since he planned to actually first attend. However, he is not prepared for the attraction he feels towards his English professor. "Christine" reciprocates, but fears revealing the truth, which may end a potentially loving relationship before it can truly begin. MY SISTER, MYSELF is a powerful romantic suspense work that centers on the full range of impact that an obsessive relationship has on everyone around it. The story line succeeds due to the fantastic characterization of "Christine". The lead female protagonist feels culpability for her sibling's death and for hiding the truth from her beloved Ben, but her fear of Bruce supersedes everything including love. Thus, through this incredible depiction, Tara Taylor Quinn provides a great entry to the Shelter Valley series that should bring the author accolades and honors. Harriet Klausner
