Summary: incest is not the worst
Review: Dear Gulya, I am agree with your high estimation. The writer is delicate and very artistic in description of the most intimate things. At the same time, there is commom sence and vital logic in the charecters' behaviour (which is so rare in the literature of this sort!) though the action takes place very long time ago and I assume there are many historical inexactitudes. However, it seems to me, that even in this slippery ground the author did her best to stay within the limits of a professional story-telling. A reader can feel the reasons of charecters' behaves even if he(she) is not always able to accept them. As for your aversion to such things as incest... First, remember that it hadn't been immoral in those ancient times. Perhaps, the detail only gives vividness and "historical ground" to the story. Then, I believe the incest is better than sadistic spirit of relations between lovers, which unfortunately becomes common in most of "love-stories" and (what is worst) is already accepted as a norm. By the way, we must take into consideration that there are many young girls of 13-15 among readers and many of them takes their FIRST real knowlege of LOVE from the novels. (You can do nothing with this very old reality). I hope, in the "Dragon's Dream" they at least will find vivid charecters and an ancient beautifull SAGA.

Summary: the magic of sea, the magic of automn, the magic of erotic
Review: I've got a pleasant impression when reading this book. It's interesting insight into birth of love through erotic. I'm glad that heroes were able to understand and to forgive. The bright colours of automn, the magic of ocean seemed so real that I could feel the leaves' rustling, the wind's breath. I was not only reader, but spectator. The only thing I dislike is the fact that Maelgwn and Rhiannon are tied with close bonds of blood. (the ignorant reader perhaps can consider such feature of novel as a worship to incest). Nevertheless I was not dissappointed
