DESTINY'S DISGUISE is an action-packed medieval romantic adventure that will leave you panting for more. Lady Gwyneth is NOT your usual heroine. For starters, she's, er, a mature woman, even by modern standards. She also knows her own mind, and watching her exercise it on poor Lord John of Farleigh makes for a great read. Of course, Lord John has a few tricks of his own up his sleeve. Any lover of historical romance in general and/or medieval romance in particular will get a big charge out of DESTINY'S DISGUISE. I for one can't wait to see the rest of the trilogy. Thank you to author Candice Kohl for this lively, un-put-downable book.

He never expected to have to find a wife, ever, now he wonders if he married the right woman. This is a delighfully sexy, well written story that is true to medieval times plus a great romance. Summary: This historical Romance is about a woman much like me.
Review: Destiny's Disguise, the first of a trilogy, revolves around Lady Gwyneth's unexpected love for a completely unwanted husband, Lord John of Farleigh. Her major problems are that she cannot believe she's found love so "late" in her life, and that the romantic love seems always to conflict with her motherly love for her grown children, all three of whom are knighted warriors themselves. Gwyneth is mature--she's lived a hard life and known little joy. So she determines to use her wit and wiles and any deceitful but effective means available to her to keep her loved ones safe. Many readers have told me they didn't like Gwyneth at the beginning of her tale, but virtually all admitted they understood, respected and admired her by the end of Destiny's Disguise. I love her story, as well as the subsequent stories about her eldest son, Matthew, and her twin sons, Richard and Rodney (Raven). I hope you will, too.

Review: I had a difficult time getting into this book, but then I had a difficult time putting it down.. A very good book with a plot easy to follow and get into. If you want to read a book that goes straight to your heart, read Stolen Moments by Barbara Jeanne Fisher. . .
