Review: This is a very good book, it captures the essense of the time well. The philosophy, martial traditionan and culture is alright. For readers wanting a Shike 3 read musashi. It is perfect.

Review: This is definitely one of the best books I have ever read, a story about love, war, tragedy, honour, courage - you name it this book has it. The book is so interwoven, a truly marvelous tale, the characters will always be with me (I know that sounds kinda sad but read the book and you will see what I mean). Beware however this is only book 1, and you do need both books to complete the story. Buy book 1 and you will be desperate to get your hands on book 2.

Review: To anyone who loves to read fiction, please pick this book up. This book helps you feel what the charecters feel. From Yukio's triumph over the Takashi, to Taniko's pain when the mongols capture her only grandson. This book would get 10 Stars from me if there were ten to give! Can't put it down, so pick it up.
