Summary: Excellent Early Nora Roberts Book
Review: Adorable early Nora Roberts that compares well with her more recent novels. Hester is a single mom who relocates to a new city for a better paying job. She learns her downstairs neighbor, Mitch, is the artist/author of the comic strip her son adores. Hester is nervous about starting a new relationship, but Mitch soon convinces her and proves to be a great role model to her son. Very cute story; really enjoyed it!
Excerpt from the back of the book:
"Single mother Hester Wallace already had one man in her life; she didn't want or need another. But how could she stop her nine-year-old son from making a father figure out of the sexy man downstairs? Mitch Dempsey, creator of her son's favorite comic-book hero, was qucikly becoming a hero himself-one Hester wanted to call her own!"

Summary: great early work!
Review: I am a huge Roberts fan and I love her older books! This is a tale about Hester...a single Mom who grew up fast when her husband just had had enough responsibility and walked out!

Not only did this guy walk out on his marriage...but he also walked out on his baby Radley who is now ten years old! His mother Hester works as an loan officer at a bank and works very hard to make things the best they can be for her son....but she rarely thinks of herself and still blames herself for what happened almost ten years ago....

She moved into a new apartment and meets Mitch...a carefree comic book artist/writer who writes a pretty famous comic book series....Her sons loves the comic and falls in love with Mitch...a father he never had....the heat between Hester and Mitch finally sparks and the two fall in love...And finally become the family that they all deserve!

It's a great heart warming tale that is worth checking out!! It's also funny to read because it was written in the early 80's when it was cool to have a VCR!!!

Summary: synopsis
Review: Who was that masked man...? When Mitch Dempsey appeared in Hester Wallaces doorway bearing gifts, she knew she should beware. She'd just moved and didn't need trouble in the form of an all-too-attractive downstairs neighbor. Her nine-year-old son had no such qualms. When he discovered Mitch was the creator of his favorite comic book hero, he was sold. Though Mitch was no Superman Hester made him as if he could leap tal buildings in a single bound. But could he convince her she needed a hero to call her own?
