Summary: Suspenseful and heartwarming!
Review: Susan Grace did such a great job with her debut book! It evokes the flavor of India with all the interesting minor characters (including the animals). She gives us two great main characters to root for and a nice mystery. And the ending is truly touching. Bravo, Ms. Grace!

Summary: Greetings from new author, Susan Grace
Review: Ten years ago, I began writing my first book. I didn't know exactly what I was doing, but I loved history and reading, and my talent for writing spurred me into creating stories of my own. Now ten manuscripts later, my historical novel "Golden Fire" has been published. "Golden Fire" is an exciting tale of love and adventure in 1831 England and India. Besides being a sensual historical romance, this story has a paranormal slant and a healthy dose of mystery and suspense.

"Golden Fire" is only one part of a six book series that spans 1784-1845 with locations that include England, Ireland, France, and India.

The series continues with "Destiny's Lady" in May 2000 and "Forever And Beyond" in January 2001.

Summary: Golden Fire is wonderful
Review: This book was wonderful. I couldn't put it down. I received it in the mail from Amazon in the early afternoon and had to finish it that same night. You must meet Randy and James and of course Randy's protector Sidra. This book has a paranormal twist that is absolutely perfect and enough suspense to keep you guessing until the end. A wonderful book for a first time author. I can't wait for more of her books. Thank you Susan Grace. This book is definitely a KEEPER.

Summary: Couldn't finish book
Review: This is the first book in a long time that I couldn't finish. The heroin was likable but the 'hero' seemed shallow and arrogant. Not too many redeaming qualities in the James character.

I also felt that the writing style was too 'choppy' for my taste.

This is all very unfortunate because the storyline had very good potential.

Summary: Mystical Land, Shadowy Danger, Magical Love
Review: To Miranda Collins, daughter of the British governor, India is a land full of exotic adventure. Her ability to sense the pain in others-and help them overcome it-has bound her to the people and animals of the country she loves. But then the idyllic life she's known since childhood is shattered by her beloved father's murder and the repeated attempts made on her own life. When Lord James Grayson arrives in Calicut, he is instantly captivated by the golden-eyed beauty, and determined to save her from harm. Miranda quickly rebuffs James' offer of matrimony-convinced that her strange powers would never be accepted back in England. But after another brush with treachery, Miranda agrees to a marriage in name only, so long as the union is annulled once her father's killer is found. Then she can safely return to India. Once in England, though, Miranda finds herself consumed by her desire for James-unaware that evil has followed her footsteps...and suddenly threatens to tear her from the man who has touched her very soul. This is a great book. Miranda is an awesome character. Ms. Grace done an excellent job in creating this marvelous herorine. And James is any woman's dream come true. Loved all the exotic wildlife and all the intrigued. Kept me on the edge of my seat till the end.
