Review: Annie Pierce, returns to Laramie Texas in the fourth book of The McCabes of Texas series. She plans to raise her triplet sons on the family ranch and start her own Texas barbecue sauce-making business. She does not need or want the interference of next-door-neighbor and cattle rancher Travis McCabe, the oldest, most chivalrous of the McCabe sons. She didn't care how sexy or handsome he was, she didn't want him helping her every time she turned around, or looking at her like she was the only woman on earth for him! But that didn't matter to Travis. Because he'd made a secret vow to look after Annie, that he never intended to break, or let her know about. Before she knew it, Annie was falling in love with him, and her three rambunctious sons wanted Travis to be "a cowboy kind of daddy" of their very own. Annie is all set to say yes, when she learns about the promise Travis made to her dad to always look after her, and wonders, is it duty or desire keeping him at her ranch? This is a great book, and my favorite of the McCabe series--no one knows how to write about families better than Cathy Gillen Thacker! This is one of her best romantic comedies, ever!
