Rating: Summary: Pretty Good Review: I'm a historical romance fan, but this book looked good so I took a chance on it. I was not disappointed. It's about a brother who marries his brother's pregnant girlfriend. I don't want to tell you the whole story, but you find out all about Meg & Nick and why they are the way they are. It's 297 pgs. But it seems alot shorter. Happy Reading!
Rating: Summary: Tackling a "marriage of convenience" plot was great fun. Review: I've written 20 books now, but tackling the ever-popular "marriage of convenience" plot was great fun, and I was delighted when Superromance tagged it as one of its "Nine Months Later" series. If you'd like to know more about the book, this is how the back cover reads: A pregnant bride. A convenient marriage. The two brothers were as unalike as brothers could be. Now the one Meg Linley loved is dead, and the other wants custody of her unborn child. And what Nick Ballenger wants, Nick Ballenger usually gets. But this time he may be giving up more than he bargained for--his heart. Excerpts from Chapter One are available on my personal website.
Rating: Summary: Swift, enjoyable romance! Review: If you like a book that can be read in a day or two, this will truly win you too. At first I was put off by the cover description of a guy taking over his brother's obligation. This story is more dynamic, high tension from passionate people who seem to like opposite camps. I loved it, pass it along. My sister loved it, passed it along. Well, you know after you've read Connie Bennett. Fun romance novel!
Rating: Summary: Recommended mostly for teenagers that like romance. Review: This story is about a family, the Ballengers. The head of the family is Eleanor. She's the grandmother of her two grandsons, Nick and David. They were raised by her because their parents were no longer alive. As the two gentlemen lived their adulthood, they take over their father's business. Nick was in charge of the entire company, called Ballenger Pharmaceuticals. They were the second richest people in the United States. David falls in love with a young, low-class girl named Megan Linley. Megan lived a rough childhood, but it came back a haunt her when she least expected it. She had an enemy whom she despised. It was Nick, because he kept David busy with a lot of work and he didn't have time for Megan. Also, she knew Nick had to get a life of his own. Although Nick and Megan were still enemies, something clicked at the end between them. The book is fascinating with all the action, romance and hidden secrets. It's mostly recommented for young teenagers because they get to read about problems that adults have to go through. It might make them realize that while they're still teens, they won't rush to be adults. The reading is not difficult at all. It's interesting and very understandable. If you enjoy this book, you may also want to read Midnight Blue by Monica Johnson. Have a swell time reading the book.
