Rating: Summary: wonderful comic romantic suspense Review: Used to being alone and succeeding at any endeavor, Coleman Young, CEO of Coleman Industries is bored with his current life even though he luxuriates in the exclusive Sonoran Resort in the Arizona desert. Coming out of his shower, Coleman is shocked to find a female butler, Georgiana Burne-Jones, in his room. She is the daughter of wealthy parents who thought she could cope with anything but is shocked because she witnessed a murder. Coleman finds both his visitor and her story quite fascinating. Needing an escape anyway, he decides to help the distraught but gorgeous butlerette. However, Coleman may regret his decision as they both are on the lam from killers who want to silence the only person who saw what they did. Additionally, the duo begins to fall in love, but Coleman believes that love is fleeting and relationships do not last as he can testify from his childhood stays in foster homes. Even as they try to remain ahead of their enemy, Georgiana wonders how she can convince her beloved that they can share a lifetime of happiness if he only can let the past go. LADY'S MAN will remind readers of those classy Katherine Hepburn's romantic adventure movies. The story line is crisp and filled with action and nonstop suspense. The lead protagonists are a warm pair who will charm readers even as Coleman struggles with his desire for Georgiana to permanently want him. When it comes to romantic suspense with a comedic twist, Suzanne Simmons is no ordinary writer. Harriet Klausner
Rating: Summary: One of the most boring books I've ever read! Review: A fifth grader could have done a better job writing this story. The characters had no depth at all. The "romance" part was nothing more than two people having sex within 24 hours of meeting each other--both claiming they were not promiscuis. Right! The plot (if you could call it that) was extremely weak and poorly written. It was as predictable as a scene from "I Love Lucy" without any of the humor. Too stupid to be believable. What a waste of publisher's money. Ms. Simmons should spend more time developing characters and plots, or maybe reading some of Susan Elizabeth Phillips' books would help. I had to force myself to finish this debacle.
Rating: Summary: BORING Review: COLEMAN AND GEORGIANA WERE SO UN-BELIEVALBE. THE ARTHOR MADE GEORGIANA SOUND LIKE A FIVE YEAR OLD. SHE WAS 29 YEARS OLD AND DIDN'T EVEN KNOW ABOUT MAKE UP. PLEASE. COLEMAN WASN'T MUCH BETTER. NOT ONLY THE STORY SOUNDED A LOT LIKE "ROMANCE THE STONE" EVEN THE TRUCK'S NAME WAS BESSIE. THE STORY HAD NO WIT, NO SIZZLE, NO HUMOR. IT TOOK VERY BIT OF MY POWER TO FINISH THE BOOK.
Rating: Summary: Made me laugh out loud! Review: I didn't think this book was boring. I thought it was really funny in the scenes with the bungling villains and found myself laughing out loud. I also really liked the hero... of course, he's from Texas!
Rating: Summary: An Enjoyable Couple-on-the-Run Romance Review: I picked this book up out of habit more than interest, as Ms Simmons' last book "No Ordinary Man" was quite difficult to finish. However, I'm sure glad I did. This is because "Lady's Man" is most probably her best work to date. The interaction between the Cole and Georgiana is simple, yet charming and warm. Miss Simmons here is at her witty best, as some of the wry wit here concerning Cole's outlook in life and the Boston vs Texas way of life comparisons. And the pace never slows down as the two went on the run along the countryside. It is in the description of the latter that Ms Simmons' writings came to life in vivid technicolour. It's obvious she loves the rustic life, for reading her words I could almost see the colourful panorama of the rustic wilderness, feel the sunlight warm on my skin, and hear the country music in bounch honky-tonk bars. There are a few quibbles though - running away from the law isn't really a good or wise thing to do really. And I never really get to know Georgiana's relationship with her parents well. However, I'm considering going searching for the Room of Light now... :)
Rating: Summary: One of the lamest books I've ever read. Review: Little did I know that when I read the first line of the book, it would turn out to be the best thing about it.
Rating: Summary: One of the lamest books I've ever read. Review: Suzanne Simmons brings us Coleman, the tough but tender rich guy, and Georgiana--the butler! Then Ms. Simmons takes us on a fabulously funny, sensual chase. This book is so outrageous I grinned through the entire story. The butler made a mistake when she saw too much. The filthy rich guy made a mistake when he took pity on the butler. Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail should have stayed home... Georgiana and Coleman will always be glad they suffered minor slips in logic. You're in for a treat.

Rating: Summary: Made me laugh out loud! Review: The story starts out with one suspenseful night and just gets better and better from there. Georgiana Burne-Jones is only doing her job when she literally stumbles onto a dead man. The problem is she may be counted among the murder suspects. Enter Coleman Worth, successful businessman with a tough-guy edge to him. For some reason his gut instincts tell him that the woman is telling him the truth when she claims to be an innocent bystander framed for the murder. He knows the perfect place to take her until the whole mess is cleared up. So they run. That's when I really started to enjoy the story even more. The bad guys are hilarious. The couple is very sensual. I loved the book!
