Summary: Enjoyable but some parts were boring...
Review: The first couple chapters it was a little challenging trying to get use to the Scottish accent but once I did it was fine the rest of the book. Krista finds Gavin injured & unconscious , after he was shot by his own people for being a traitor & she brings him back to health. In order for her horrible step-dad to let her travel with a bunch of men as a guide her step-dad says she has to marry Gavin. They wed & have a nice couple days romance along the way & Krista wakes up one morning & finds him gone. She is left indentured to a lying, sneaky woman for a period of 5 years or until the war is over, whichever comes first. Krista has a child 9 months after Gavin left & I'm going to leave the rest of the story right there because I don't want to give anything away but when Gavin leave you don't see his character for a long time & I was quite bored. Quite often in the book I found myself re-reading parts after I'd just finished reading it because it seemed the author liked to describe things a little too much. I have only seen one other book from this author & it was one before this book & that was over 10 years ago so maybe she wasn't quite cut out to be an author. I don't know but the book was enjoyable 2/3.

Summary: Terrible.
Review: The scottish brogue and olde english and backwoods setting were too much for me. Gladly tossed it after 1 chapter.
