Review: The title is misleading. This lovely romantic novel which revolves around a lacemaker and her goals to get beyond the lowly status of medieval womanhood. It is a fast paced and rewarding read.

Summary: More Thunder than Lightning
Review: This book read more like a historical novel than a romance. The characters were limp. There was too much discussion around the lace making and not enough romance and fire between the characters. If you like history moreso than romance this would be your book. Margaret went between a strong-willed woman and a weak whiner. Jonathan wasn't believable and the description did not make you fall in love with the character. I would like to perhaps read other books by Lynnford in hopes of giving a higher rating towards her work.
