Summary: Love at first sight...
Review: Aspiring filmmaker Simi Mitchell wants nothing more than to have the fruits of her labor portrayed on the big screen. When she meets big time director Jackson Larimore at a conference, she gives him a copy of her script. After reading the script, Jackson is so impressed that he immediately starts the production process, believing that it will be the next big blockbuster.

Simi is unable to believe that all of her years of struggling are soon to be over, but what is also shocking is the intensity of the attraction between her & Jackson. After only days of knowing each other, the couple believes they have finally found their soul mate. Declaring their love for each other, Simi & Jackson engage in a beautiful love affair. Will their relationship stand the test of time, or will the evil lurking about be too much for the couple to endure?

IF LOVING YOU IS WRONG was an average read. There was plenty of love, passion, and even a little bit of mystery and intrigue, but unfortunately it was not enough to hold my attention. I wish the author would have played up the mystery and intrigue portion of the storyline more than she did. It would have definitely made for a more enjoyable read. Normally I am a fan of Bussey's, but this particular novel left something to be desired. I will look forward to her future works, as I'm sure they will be up to her usual standards of excellence.

Summary: New Title, Tired Storyline
Review: This book is mediocre at best. There were times while reading this book that I found myself rolling my eyes at the cliché dialogue, specifically during the love scenes. I've read all of Ms. Bussey books and unfortunately she seems to keep recycling a certain storyline or shall I say a certain type of character.

Her storylines utilizes the maniacal jilted lover or the disturbed unrequited love of a friend entirely too much. In either case the situations always seem to turn violent, which is a 1,2,3 recipe for suspense. The other storyline used to a fault is the employer/employee relationship. It always seems that the heroine is down-and-out and is either unemployed or at best working a mediocre job. However the heroes always have the dream jobs and end up giving the down-on-her-luck heroine employment, much to her eternal gratefulness.

I am not saying that this type of plot doesn't work because other authors do the same and Ms. Bussey's books wouldn't get published if it didn't work, but I think she owes her readers a little variety or at least give the maniacal exlover/friend twist a needed break. I guess this author adheres to the adage of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." However if the record ain't broke, it is definitely scratched and has been playing the same annoying refrain over and over.

This book maybe an enjoyable read to someone who is unfamiliar with Ms. Bussey work, but then again I think that if you've read one of her books you've read them all.
