Rating: Summary: Good, interesting read Review: Overall this was a very good book. Nice character development. I wish Renea could have gotten a better revenge on Pam.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful book, great characters! Review: Renea, like the book's author, is a smart, very focused young woman who knows what she wants in life, and is not afraid to pursue her goals. When circumstance presents obstacles, she is smart enough to learn from them, rather than be deterred by them--and she emerges even stronger and wiser because of it. EVERYTHING SHE WANTS is a beautifully written story that teaches us one of life's important lessons in a very interesting and entertaining way. Bravo, Angela! And thank you for an intelligent and well-written piece of work!
Rating: Summary: Finally! Review: Thank you, Ms. Wynn, for finally providing the public with an intelligent, well-developed, CLEAN book for the '90s women. I had a great time getting to know Renea and AJ, which is something so rare in much of today's literature. Both of these characters represent yet another strong side of the African-American community that is sometimes lost in the drama of the world today. I cheered with them, cried with them, and sometimes got angry with (OR at) them. It was well worth the read! I personally thank you for this well-written book and look forward to your next endeavor!
Rating: Summary: Renae is determined to get everything she wants... Review: The good news is Renae Peaks is almost finished with school in LA and she is planning on going back to Ohio and take care of her 14 year old brother Brian. The bad news is, Brian is in a Detroit youth facility on murder charges. Renae rearranges all her plans to go to Detroit and help her brother, while finishing college at the same time. A woman who is determined to get everything she wants, Renae is not prepared for A.J., the handsome social worker assigned to Brian's case. He is everything a woman wants, but he is fighting his own demons when Renae crashes into his life and has him start second guessing himself all over again. As Renae juggles school and Brian, she struggles over her feelings for A.J. He is not what she needs right now, but she can't help herself as well. I found myself rooting for Renae and A.J. just as I rooted for Scarlet and Rhett. This is truly a modern story about love and family and what is important in life. The ending truly makes the reader feel good. I can't wait for the next Angela Patric Wynn novel.
Rating: Summary: This was an excellent book, I could not put it down. Review: The storyline was great, the book flowed well. The theme of having a career, family and love is appropriate for this era. This book is well written with a few minor mistakes, in the begining of the book, Renea's brother Frank was an Admiral in the Navy, but when he shows up to be co-guardian of Brian, he is in the Army. Overall, the book is very enjoyable and contains a few editorial mistakes.

Rating: Summary: Love This Book! Review: This was a very good book. I pick it up not knowing what to expect, and I am glad that I did. The romance between Renea and A.J. was very touching. After the death of her older brother Renea tries to finish her college education so that she could be able to take care of not only herself but her fourteen year old brother. Renea tries to prove to her family that she is grown and will be there to support her younger brother during some difficult times. Then she meets A.J. A.J. has had some rough times and is not ready to truly open up to anyone because he thinks he will get hurt again. But the more he talks to Renea his walls around his heart comes down. And he falls for Renea hard. I love the story line and how the author brought everything together. The ending had you feeling good that everything worked out. Good job Mrs. Patrick-Wynn
Rating: Summary: Family is worth fighting for! Review: What a wonderful start to Ms Wynn's writing career. I had a hard time putting this book down, and felt emotional when it was done. I felt like I knew the characters. And, I hope I find someone just like A.J. one day :-)! Bravo Angela, I look forward to more magic for years to come!
Rating: Summary: Well plotted, strong characterization kept me involved. Review: What with the offbeat plot and the protagonists's determination the book got off to a strong start. I realized I was involved in Renea's world when I got exasperated by her hard headed ways - at times I just wanted to shake her. I did find the middle of the book a bit draggy as the plot repeated unnecessarily. However, the ending picked up the pace again and brought a gasp of satisfaction from me. I look forward to Angela's next book.
