Rating: 4 stars
Summary: The start of the Trinity Street West series!
Review: The cops of Trinity West are a different breed--rougher around the edges, colder in the eyes, tough as nails, & living on the edge...

Detective Quisto Romero has always admitted it--he's the quintessential Latin lover whose sexual relationships are for recreation only. But when a redhead he'd never met before slapped him right on the steps of his precint, he got more than he bargained for...

Caitlin is a school teacher who opened a shelter for streetkids called The Neutral Zone. When one of 'her' kids was offed by The Pack for snitching to the police, she lashed out at Quisto for not caring enough to do something. Anything.

With a rep for having more guts than sense, she takes matters into her own hands by asking some questions that get her into trouble. What she doesn't know is that Quisto plans to help her...

The reason I didn't give this the full 5 stars is because I got impatient with some parts of it since the story was too closely intertwined with "Leader of the Pack," which, unfortunately, I read first (it's supposed to be 2nd), & was absolutely, intensely bowled over by it.

Don't miss the Quisto's partner Chance in his own story/prequel "One Last Chance." The rest of the series are: (3rd)"Gage Butler's Reckoning", (4th)"Badge of Honor" & finally "Clay Yeager's Redemption."
